I am new to CQRLOG (very impressed with what I've seen so far!) and am having trouble getting data from external QSO logs to download into my local log. Is CQRLOG stable on Ubuntu 20.04?
And, are the hamlib utilities trustworthy on 20.04? I also cannot get my K2 (new to me) to accept rig control via the hamlib utilities.

Hi Joe,
That are 3 questions i think.....
1) importing logs is not doing what you want? You have to give some more info what exactly you are doing, and what error you get....
2) Are they hamlib utils, trustworty... Yes, they are otherwise they would not be in the repositories.....
3) Your K2 is not communicating with rigctl , most likely you are not a member of the dailout group. If you are, check if you have the "run rigctld when program starts" is check in prefferences>TRX Control

Hi Joe!
In addition to Alex answers, as you have US callsign, (I.E: you are not in Region 1) you should check preferences/Bands/Frequencies.
There are some differences in band starts and ends. Adif import may fail if your qsos are outside of band limits (that defaults to Region 1)

Thank you, Alex and Saku. I have made significant progress since you wrote the above. K2 is now being CAT controlled by WSJT-X with CQRLOG running well in remote mode for wsjtx. That is slick. Thanks for good code you've written. The problem wasn't my not being in the dialout group, it was even dumber: I had not set a particluar setting in the K2 necessary for CAT control.
Now, I'd like to ask a follow-up question:
How can I have CQRLOG fill the minimal QSO records left from the earlier time of importing wsjtx logs (.adi) into CQRLOG? Those records (about 150 or so) go back several months. Refreshing the QSO list does not rebuild the QTH, etc., fields that are now filled from HamQTH.com automatically for new QSOs.

HI Joe!
Open "QSO list" and select Filter/create. Use something like qso date begin/end to filter out those imported qsos. Once you have view of those filtered qsos select Callbook/Database update.
It will take some time while cqrlog seeks all information for those qsos from HamQth or Qrz (by your selection).
