Log 001

I'm not clear on the meaning of "Database Connection Log 001".

Do I continue to place all my data into "Log 001"?

Do I need to change to a different log after I have uploaded to LOTW? Or, do I continue with Log 001 and only export QSO's that have not been uploaded.

Why or when would one need to change to a different log? How does one change to a different log?

Sorry for having to ask all these questions but I was not able to find answers in the documentation.

Thanks!
Gary

Re: Log 001

Gary,

you can have more separate logs in CQRLOG e.g. for OK/AF7M, DL/AF7M etc. Or if you have any previous callsign, you can create new log and import QSO there. All data will be in one application.

If you are using only one callsign, always store all data to log001. Of course, you can rename the log name to something better e.g. your own callsign.

Log 001

Hello Petr,
ok but how do you rename Log 001 to ON5KTZ (log) without losing any QSO ??? by any action in the soft

k8wdx
On the page where you would

On the page where you would open the log. This would be the first page after clicking cqrlog. Just simply click edit log and change the name. My primary log is k8wdx. Then I have one that is kd8pgo for my daughter and another one that is labled contest. For well you guessed it a contest. I might make one that says k8wdx/m because I may put my 480hx back in the car. The one for contest is great because it tells me who I have worked in the cluster also when I am done I group edit the comment to say what the contest was such as "ARRL rtty 2014" then I export that log as adif to desktop. From there I import to my k8wdx log. Then when I work that station later say on phone in previous qso in the comment field it will show ARRL rtty 2014 and I can comment that I worked him in that contest. Lots of fun my friend. And you wont lose any qso by edit log name. But just to make sure back up first. 73 Tom

Thank you, I did not understand the function, Edit, I thought that I would lose all QSOs which are registered. Thanks again 1000x
