You are right. It is a long time.
How ever the latest version is always available as source code from GItHub. https://github.com/ok2cqr/cqrlog like so many other programs too (hamlib, fldirg, qsstv, etc etc.)
I know it needs some skills to do that via source, but that is not rocket science.
With cqrlog most simplest way to upgrade is to copy just /usr/bin/cqrlog file from a friend who has compiled it from source.
I hope Petr will answer to you as he is the only one having right answer to your question.
