TRX Control Window Frequencies

I also am struggling with the TRX Control Window. At one point it was in sync with my radio (Kenwood TS-570D), but never again, always showing "0.000", with no mode or band. Here is my system: Pentium II, 380 megs RAM, VectorLinux 6.0 Light. I set the bios to use Com2, and configured "settings -TRX Control" for /dev/ttyS1, with the correct hamlib model # (204). I can run rigctl and if I enter the correct serial port, baud rate, and model, I can retrieve the current frequency, mode, etc from my radio, so I assume the serial port and all cables are working correctly. However, the TRX Control Window still doesn't change. If I click "refresh" in the dropdown menu, sometimes I get an "access violation", and always I have to re-enter my rigctl parameters to get rigctl to correctly communicate with the radio. Any insights or work-arounds would be appreciated.

Thanks

RE: TRX Control Window Frequencies

Could you try to run cqrlog from console? This version has debug mode enabled by default, so it writes into console a lot of debbuging lines.
You can save what it writes to a file by this:

cqrlog > log_output.txt

and please send me it to my email address or you can paste related part here into forum.

TRX Control Window problem

Thanks for the suggestion, Petr. I'll save that for future use. Since I posted last I've got it working. The problem was that I didn't have RTS checked int the TRX setup window. Apparently my radio uses the RTS line of the com port to inhibit transmit data from the transciever when the computer is not ready to receive data. Since my computer is unusually low in processor power (Pentium II), this could conceivably happen quite a bit. Now, with RTS checked, it works all the time, refresh is good, no problem.

Thanks again.
