WSL - Elecraft K4 - Few questions

OK, I have been away from Linux for a long time (work stuff).
Well, things may change back now that I'm retired. I just installed Ubuntu on WSL.
The radio is an Elecraft K4D. Can I use the IP address for TRX Control? if not under WSL, how about directly?

How do I know what my USB devices are? Like my MORTTY devices?
The K4 does have a USB cable that I can use for audio and some keying.
I know things like VNC, RustDesk and etc are available.

Just want to start playing again in Linux. I know that TRLinux is available. I

hamlib installation problem

Hello.
I have Ubuntu 22.04 and hamlib 4.5 . I tried to install latest one 4.6.1 with building it from a scratch (not a first time to make compile) and everything went well. Unfortunately when I use dpkg-query -l hamlib command I receive infor that still active is version 4.5 and no sign or trace of version 4.6.1.
So I would like to know how to solve this problem and also how to check if latest version is installed and active on my computer ?

automatic spotting

Hello folks,

short question: is there/will there be a way to automatically send spots via telnet to the cluster? As I like to share my findings on the bands I always have to press ctrl+t to send the spots. Would be nice to have the opportunity by selecting a field in the preferences to have cqrlog doing this on its own.

When uploading a QSO, at least.. error

Hello everyone,
I face a strange failure report when trying to upload data to hamqth. cqrlog is reporting "HamQTH: When uploading a QSO, at least qso_date, time_on, call, band and mode fields must be specified!" in the status of log upload window.
The QSO data in my log are all filled in. So I deleted the qso, but the error message stays, even after restarting cqrlog.
Unfortunately I can not upload any new qso data.
Any suggestions?
Working on a linux lubuntu machine with cqrlog ver. 2.6.0 (001).

problem of hamlib ?

Last August CAT would line to ttyS0, to solve this, I installed libftdi1-dbg.
At the beginning of this year, CQRlog would line to ttyS0,.
rig_open: error = rig_settings_load_all: opened /home/NAME/.config/hamlib_settings
serial_open: /dev/ttyS0

/home/NAME/.config/hamlib-settings
DEVICE=/dev/ttyUSB0

I tried to reinstall libftdi1-dbg, then I can run CQRlog.

Mariadb install

I have used CQRLog for many years and do not want to use any other logging program. My question is I have Mariadb already installed by another program. I do not want to bust the progam that depends on Mariadb by installing CQRLog. So will CQRLog recognize that Mariadb is already installed and not overwrite it with a different version? Not sure about MySql .

Thanks,
Marty, N3MOW
