Syncing Log-data between two or more machines

Hi there,

I have two machines with cqrlog. - One in my shack and a notebook for portable operation.
When using the notebook I often do not have internet access.

So I am wondering, what is the easiest way to keep the databases on both machines in sync?

Currently I'm moving adif-files back and forth ... but that is not really comfortable.
Before going on summer vacation, I'll probably copy the whole cqrlog tree, but since some settings are different on the machines (TRX, ROT, Log uplad etc.) this is also not ideal.

updating to 2.4.0

Hello !
As a beginner I have problems to update my version v2.3.0(001) to 2.4.0
I used the line on the website of cqrlog with

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ok2cqr/ppa;sudo apt-get update;sudo apt-get install cqrlog

but there was the message: v2.3.0 is already the latest

What have I done wrong ?

I only see the year 2020 on my log!

Thank you for answering me, yes there is the right number of qso, there was a stop at 2020/01/01, but I found in Filter at the top right the possibility to change the date, so everything is back in the after this manipulation, perfect!
Thanks again for your help, I would like to know if there was another problem.

Longest QSO indicator

Hi
I just saw something on the log window for CQRLog in the strips below the logs where it says Distance Total Distance and Longest QSO.
I have no idea where it got that from or how I can look up that longest QSO. I'm assuming it was looking at long path? and how can I find that particular QSO in my log? FIlter doesn't seem to have an option for distance or else I missed it .

Updating Hamlib

I am running Linux Mint 19.3 and the current version of libhamlib-utils 3.1.7build1 does not hold the radios that I wish to use so I installed version 3.3 from the Hamlib github. In order to do this I was required to uninstall CQRLOG when I uninstalled the old Hamlib.

The install of libhamlib-utils 3.3-10build1 went smoothly and all tested out OK so I went to install CQRLOG again and ran into the issue that it wants to install the old version of rigctld and does not seem to be aware of the new version. Does anyone have any advice on how I should proceed here.

Double key stroke

I don't know why but CQRLOG has started displaying double key strokes. So whenever I type in any CQRLOG field things display twice. So if I type KD9JQR in the call field it displays KKDD99JJQQRR. This just started I have rebooted and made sure everything is up to date. CQRLOG is the only program that has a problem. I am running Mint 18.2 and CQRLOG 2.3.0(001) Any ideas?

MySQL server problem, solved

I made new install to Ubuntu Mate 18.04 distro. 20.04 have printing problems. After installation I made all fixes as I fount here.

tpv@tpv-ThinkPad-T61p:~$ sudo apt install cqrlog libmariadb3 libmariadb-dev mariadb-common mariadb-server
tpv@tpv-ThinkPad-T61p:~$ dbus-launch --exit-with-session cqrlog

The most important was reboot laptop after install. Without reboot database not start, connection problem. Now normal start up. Thank you guys for sharing solutions. Helped me a lot, 73 Timo OH7JHA

Import errors from adif imported from QRZ.com

I am encountering errors when attempting to import records from qrz.com:

while running >cqrlog debug=2 I get the following when trying to import two records:

Good news

Hi all,

Just updated my laptop from Ubuntu 19.10 to 20.04.
Everything went quick, smooth and nice. Only problem with cqrlog was lacking libssl-devel after upgrade - easy to fix.
Apart of cqrlog VMBox - you know, n1mm :) - is gone after upgrade, but files are still on hdd so I hope to recover it.
