New install not calculating distance

Hi guys.

I have moved computers and moved my data from the old computer via an export / import.

The new version is 2.4.0 on Linux Mint.

All seems to be working nicely, however...

I used to get a distance displayed underneath the lat long on the right hand side of the QSO entry window.

I am now only getting that when I display the old QSO entries from before the cross over. New ones are not being calculated.

I have my location set in preferences as a 6 digit maidenhead.

Hamlib 4.0

At least Fedora updates offer now HamLib version 4.0

With that installed user must change rig model number. It is not same as it was before.
If you use rigctld that starts from crontab or elsewhere (I.E. from command line) change the "- m" number. You get list of models with command :
rigctld -l

For example IC7300 has "-m 373", with HamLib 4.0 it is "-m 3073"

Emulation rigs model "-m" less than 10 have not changed.

If you start rigctld from cqrlog just go to Preferences/TRXControl and reselect your rig model from drop down selector.

Compiling from source

Friends, I'm not familiar with fpc and lazarus but I have fpc 3.2.0-r1 and lazarus 2.1.0 (trunk) installed and working. How do I get the build to find the location of lazarus. I have it installed in /usr/local/share/lazarus

n1ese@ganymede ~/sources/cqrlog-2.4.0 $ make
lazbuild --ws=gtk2 --pcp=/tmp/.lazarus src/cqrlog.lpi
SetPrimaryConfigPath NewValue="/tmp/.lazarus" -> "/tmp/.lazarus"
Error: (lazarus) invalid Lazarus directory "": directory lcl not found
Error: (lazarus) Building failed: src/cqrlog.lpi
make: *** [Makefile:9: cqrlog] Error 2

JTDX signal reports not importing to CQRLOG

When I use JTDX the SENT and RECEIVED reports are not importing to CQRLOG. Everything else from each QSO does move as it should but not the signal reports. I have never had this problem with WSJT-X. I am using Mint 19.3 64 bit and the latest CQRLOG wit the Wsjt-x CQ-monitor remote.

Any help?

When are lotw_qsls and lotw_qslsdate fields populated?

Hi all.

I usually use the upload to LoTW functionality to send the QSO which have never been uploaded to LoTW logbook and works fine. But I've just noted that lotw_qsls and lotw_qslsdate are not populated when you do this action.
The same functionality in eQSL upload populates their eqsl_qsl_sent and eqsl_qsl_sdate fields but in LoTW does nothing.

What's the scenario when lotw_qsls and lotw_qslsdate are populated?

Thanks. 73.

New User - A Few Questions

Hi, I run Linux, so I was pleased to find CQRLOG. I got a lot of experience with it during the CW WPX contest last weekend.

A few oddities that I wonder about:

1. The program offers to update the DXCC tables EVERY time I start the program. Even if I've just exited and restarted. I can't believe anything changed in those few minutes, but perhaps I don't understand what data is involved. Any explanations welcome.

2. I have the program set to offer to back up on exit. Sometimes It offers to do so, sometimes it does not. Even f there is new data. Is this normal?

Raspberry PI

I loaded and start CQRLog and the default password got changed and I cant get logged in. I tried to unintall and reinstall but the password is blank and incorrect.

I tried using my credentials for the CQRLOG web site but that doesnt work.

How do I get this installed again without reblasting my SD card and building the system again from scratch...

Any help would be appreciated..

Reload QRZ.com info in Edit QSO and Power field from remote caller

Hi all,

I'm using CQRLOG 2.4.0 (001) and I have a couple of questions:

- When I have a recorded QSO and I want to change the caller ID later (maybe a mistake or other reason), how can I refresh the info downloaded from QRZ.com? This works when you enter a new QSO but when the QSO is being edited I cannot see how can I do.

- Does exist any way to introduce the power information about remote caller in a QSO?

Thanks.
