Non standard serial port locations do not seem to work.
Hi Petr, I'm building a rig bridge for
linux using python (like lp-bridge for windows). I have quite a bit of success and have run CQRLOG from a remote computer using a serial line to a second computer running the bridge program and talking to my K3.
I have used socat to build several virtual serial ports and have tested
them with my bridge using a terminal program and using hamlib through
rigctl
What is the easiest way to move my log to another machine where I have cqrlog installed?
I would rather not export then importe. Is there a data base file(s) I can move? Is there a 'how to' for hams moving to another computer?
These short cut keys do not work on Ubunut Maverick. For instance, cntrl+f2 does not clear the entry window
Some call signs do not return data even when data is available on QRZ
. Try H40FN in CQRLOG then enter it directly into QRZ. Data is present but no data is displayed.

When selecting a line in the qso list window, the ability to select a menu item on any cqrlog window is blocked.
It takes several tries to cause this bug. I have successfully reproduced it by double clicking on the last entry in the log (scroll bar to bottom, double click on last entry). Once the program is in this state, the only way to unlock it is to open a terminal window and kill the cqrlog process and restart cqrlog

I have CQRLOG installed and running .
I have hamlib-1.2.12 running .
I go to a cmd line and go to the dir wear hamlib is ,
i start it with rigctl -m 129 -r /dev/ttyUSB0 -s 38400 -C stop_bits=1 -C data_bits=8
and get this
Rig command:
send: f and i get this err
get_freq: error = Protocol error
Rig command:
budrate is set to 38400 on the radio

I have been using CQRLOG for a little over a year and have not been able to get the program to display the correct sunrise and sunset times for the distant station correctly. I am in the U.S. eastern time zone. I have the time correctly setup on my PC, but cannot find a preference setting to give me the correct sunrise and sunset times for the distant station. My local sunrise and sunset times are displayed correctly. In addition the terminator location is also incorrect on the grey line map.
I recently obtained my DXCC using 102 DXCC entities. Unlike other awards, you keep adding onto this award for extra endorsements. I wish CQRLOG kept track of which entities have already been submitted for approval so I could easily generate a report showing which QSOs I need to submit. I should also be able to query which entities have not been confirmed and are still needed for my DXCC so I can follow up with those stations.
Satellite QSOs are a bit unique and are generally described not by a specific frequency but by a transmit, receive band, mode, and satellite. It would great if CQRLOG would provide support for satellite QSOs. I'd be happy to provide the necessary information on the satellites and help troubleshoot this feature.

Hey There,
I've been running CQRLog for a few months now, but have only just noticed when swithing the operating mode from FM to FMN, that it shows up as none in the window. Is there or have I done something wrong? I use FMN a lot on 2m, as there's a lot of operators nearby.

I recently upgraded my laptop from Fedora 13 to Fedora 14. I'm now getting an error when I try to start CQRLOG that says "Cannot load library: /home/user/cqrlog/lib/libfbembed.so2.1.1." Since this was an upgrade, and CQRLOG was previously installed, nothing changed on the install of CQRLOG.
I had to rebuild another computer and when I try to install CQRLOG on that computer, also running Fedora 14, I get the following error:
$ ./cqrlog_install.sh
CQRLOG self extracting installer
./files.tar
./install
When entering a QSO in the "New QSO" window if the call has been worked before then previous QSOs normally appear in the sub-window at the top of the dialog.
If the previous call has a national prefix then it is not matched. The example I found was that I worked OK/DL3SBA/P and another day I worked DL3SBA/P When I logged the second QSO the first was not shown.

First, I want to thank you for the best Linux logging program that I have been able to find!
I have gone through the installation process. A desktop icon appears, but when I click on it, nothing happens. I have been using Ubuntu for some time, but am not that familiar with command lines, compiling, etc. Anyone willing to email me privately for some hand-holding trying to get this program to work. I have had it installed and working on 32 bit Ubuntu, but am unable to get it to work on 64 bit. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and go back to 32 bit?

After upgrading from 0.9.3 to 0.9.6 it seems that the different colours in DX-cluster window are gone, all is black here. I checked in preferences for DX-cluster and there were four different colours set. Only the LoTW stations are marked with a blue stripe.

I tried a few qso's, and some won't pull the data from qrz.com... try py2pt in cqrlog, and it will be blank... so will lu1jhd... but others will.... any ideas?

I noticed this weekend in 9.6 that when you set the new qso defaults all works good except RST. No matter what I put in the form that sets defaults, 599 is what shows (sent & received)in the new QSO form. Perhaps I am doing something incorrect? Same problem with earlier versions, so not new to 9.6.

I have a lot of QSOs that are marked as "confirmed by LoTW" in the DXCC-statistics. But many of them can not be found as confirmed in the LoTW ... Some of them are not even LoTW users.
What has gone wrong here?
A part of the log is written in another program, but I never managed it to download LoTW data at all.
It also seems difficult to use the filtering function to get only LoTW-confirmed qsos. If I choose the "LoTW QSL received, L" I get both normal QSL confirmations and LoTW in the list.
May be my native ADIF was corrupt?

I got 0.9.3 working as I want on my desktop with the latest DXCC-tables and all that. I installed 0.9.6 on my laptop to have a portable log as well. These two versions of CQRLOG does have different opinions on how many DXCC I have worked per band. The totals are the same.
Here's what I've done:
-I export the desktop ADIF to the laptop 0.9.6.
-I "clean up" the log from unknown DXCC:s by filtering DXCC = !. By doing this
I have noticed the past two days that QRZ.com is not able to provide callsign data to CQRLog. It returns a data not found error.
Has anyone else noticed this change? Thanks...

is it possible to use this feature on ADIF import?
I use for contest logging the N1MM logger, and import the ADIF-File into CQRLOG, so it would be nice if the QSL_S field is marked in the same way when i directly log a QSO

today I have recevied, from lotw, the tq6 file to perform uploads/downloads from the arrl website. All ran well except when I try to upload my adi file to arrl website, it says Unable to open file "/home/ct1drb/cqrlog_t6ag/lotw/2010-10-28_20-26-49.tq8".
Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption.
Press Cancel to kill the program.
I have cqrlog last version and have installed last version of tqsl as well TrustedQSL-1.13 from arrl website.

I´m trying to change mi O.S. from XP to Ubuntu.
The fact is that in Windows XP I use the RigExpert Plus USB interface (CAT-FSK-CW Keyer and soundcard).
Is there any one using it with CQRLOG and Ubuntu?
