Installed a running OK on Ubuntu 9,04 Jaunty, however, the greyline display is incorrect. My time is correct in the log, but the greyline display appears about 6 hours behind time. For instance, last night about 10pm EDT (south Florida) the grey line was still showing mid-Atlantic. Also I don't under the off-sets for sun rise/sun set. Alos... in the DXCC window pane there are what looks like dates and time .. but no explanation. What are these... they don't seem to relate to current time.

Works fine with my FT-847 but not with the Orion 2.
When starting grig instead (grig -m 1608 -s 57600 -r /dev/ttyUSB0 -p -P) I get a segmentation fault:

I installed the newest version of cqrlog by downloading the installation program. I am running Ubuntu 9.04. I used the default directory of /home/roy/cqrlog . When I try to run the program, I get an error message stating the program can't load library: /home/roy/cqrlog/lib/libfbembed.so.2.1.1 . That is as far as I can get. I have checked and the file does exist in the specified directory. Can anyone suggest the next step? Thanks.

Hi
Just changed over to Puppy 4.2 - installed ok but will not run, wonder if anyone has it running under puppy ? I did have it running under mepis (Antix) before - the reason for puppy is it's on an older laptop - but it runs SO fast... ...
BTW also downloaded the hamlib files (where should they go please)...
Thanks: de Peter G4NKX

Here's a howto for the new Fedora 11 64 bit.
First before proceeding. Do not shut down or reboot your computer.
Install hamlib (i586), openssl-devel (i586) and libstdc (i586).
You can install xplanet and trustedqsl through Fedora's package manager.
To install bug-buddy (i586) you need to remove libgweather (x86_64) with the following command.
rpm --nodeps -e libgweather
The above command will remove the 64 bit version of libgweather. If you don't remove it you will have a conflict when trying to install the 32 bit version of bug-buddy.
Hello,
I usually operate CW/LSB when on 40 or 80 meters. Until recently my radios have only reported CW to CQRLog no matter what CW side I am on. Now with a different radio (Yaesu FT-950) the radio is reporting CWR to CQRLog and CQRLog is recording new QSOs accordingly. So - I am seeing "New Mode" message in the details window when I have already worked the area. CQRLog is seeing CWR an assumes the mode to be different to CW (normal). I feel CW is CW no matter what side I operate from.
I'm getting:
"can't load library: /home/pif/cqrlog/lib/libfbembed.so.2.1.1"
The file is present and worked before the upgrade...
What do I do now?

Hi. I've loaded the two membership files I want - skcc and fists - with no errors. When I start cqrlog, I see no errors on stderr. The only problem I'm having is getting the membership numbers to be filled in the Award field that I created for the log. There are a set of settings in the membership preferences, but I'm unclear on how to use them. Could someone give me some pointers. Thanks!

I receive this error when trying to open the show qso list. Any ideas on what I may be missing?
Thanks for any help.

How's about adding info about Long Path bearing?
Also, it would be nice to have information if entered call exchanges QSLs via LoTW. Could this info be visible on cluster windoww, too?

Dragan, 4O4A
Actually, this is not a bug but typo error.
In Preferences -> New QSO -> "Skip over mode and frequenci..." should be "frequency"

Hello,
I have problem with downloading and processing data from LoTW web site.
While local LoTW updating works perfect, I can not do it automatically.
When I click on "Download data from ARRL web site" I get response:

What am I doing wrong?
OS: Ubuntu 9.04 and CQR 0.7.0.
My experience with it: beginner

hi chaps,
i had some success with mandriva 2009 in a different thread here at cqrlog. I recently updated an installation and decided to start afresh.
After installing mandriva 2009.1 i installed hamlibs (./configure make and make install) and the libs are installed in /usr/local/libs/
so i go ahead and download cqrlog....
[tim@localhost cqrlog]$ ./cqrlog
./cqrlog: error while loading shared libraries: libhamlib.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[tim@localhost cqrlog]$
hmmmm... square 1 again!
Would anyone else consider it a benefit to know what date a QSL confirmation was sent or received?

This is a tweak to KR4EY's entry on installing CQRLOG on a 64-bit Debian machine.
After buying a new laptop and replacing Ubuntu 8.10 32-bit with Ubuntu Jaunty beta 64-bit, I too got the dreaded libhamlib.so.2 error when I installed and tried to run CQRLOG.
For Ubuntu, follow KR4EY's instructions about downloading the 32-bit libhamlib from Debian's repository:
http://packages.debian.org/lenny/libhamlib2
Then use his commands for unpacking, BUT...:
dpkg -X libhamlib2_1.2.7.1-1_i386.deb /emul/ia32-linux
Hello,
With latest cqrlog version, I cannot press (F-6) like previous versions when editing an existing QSO to fill-in information. I import QSO's from another program regularly which doesn't have all fields filled in. I used to edit those QSO's in cqrlog and press (F-6) which forced a query on QRZ'd and filled in data to fields that didn't have anything in them.
I didn't know if this is an intentional process or bug.
Thank you...

Hi folks
I am new in this forum game and posted a temporary fix for my problem under Discussions while it
probably would find a better home here. Not much harm done, I hope.
Issue: Under Preferences > Membership selection we are presented with identical shortname;longname
G-QRP-CLUB;G-QRP-CLUB, while the %s.txt file in /members folder is named gqrpc.txt. I believe it is safest to leave the internals of the program to the team, therefore my little temporary.

Power to the QRP!
Under preferences>membership, trying to load G-QRP-CLUB data will fail, the loader says it cannot find
the file 'g-qrp-club.text'. The actual file to look for is ~/cqrlog/members/gqrpc.txt, so a plain symbolic link will do for a temporary fix. In a terminal, cd into /members folder and do
user@user-desktop ~ $ln -s gqrpc.txt g-qrpc-club.txt
and the loader will comply next time you run the procedure.

Tnx guys, 0.7.0 installs and runs on Ubuntu 8.10 without any problems whatsoever.
Imported 14371 QSOs from VQlog (via ADIF) with only one problem - IOTA EU054 - Egadi Island - was not accepted as valid!
Now if somebody could just teach me/help me getting LoTW installed. the explanation on ARRLs homepage is beyond me and my meager knowledge.
I now have one less dependency on Windows - Hurrah!
