I am trying to extract my logs in the proper cabrillo QSO: format for the IARU contest, using the following SQL statement:
SELECT 'QSO:', freq, 'PH', qsodate, time_on, 'AB1KW 59 08', call, remarks FROM cqrlog_main WHERE qsodate > '2010-07-10' ORDER BY qsodate,time_on
However, this results in the following error message:
SQL error:Duplicate name 'CONSTANT' in TFieldDefs
Would it be an idea to give each constant field a number (CONSTANT1, CONSTANT2, etc) so firebird does not error out?
Or is the fix in the firebird code itself?
Running CQRLOG 0.9.3 on Debian SID and stable:
I tried to correct the "MY Locator" field in the database so it does match the locator of my used profile by using the Group Edit function.
Creating the filter by using the profile was no problem, also running the Group edit on the selected entries works fine but running my usual QSL Card selection I noticed only 2 QSL cards selected...
Hi,
I think it would be nice to be able to send QSL Cards through EQSL from CQRLOG.

Hi All,
I have finally made the full move in the shack over to Linux, it was only the logging in Ham Radio Deluxe that kept me with Windows.
I have managed to pull all of my data over to CQRLOG, what a great piece of software, I am now an avid user and I wish the developers all the best for this fantastic program.
Ubuntu 10.04 it is then from now on I only use CQRLOG.

QRZ.com has now incorporated a logbook into its site. While log entries may be entered manually by anyone, a subscription can be purchased to allow upload from a logging program. While I may not be interested in this personally, there are likely users and future users who would find such integration useful.
I will readily admit that I'm unable to find a link to describe the interface for program authors.
Hello,
for those users who have an account at qrz.com it would be good, user name and password to be able to specify in the settings. The data would then be taken of it depends, perhaps through a selection button.

Hello all-
I cannot figure out how to enter the QSL sent date & QSL received date fields. Field is visible in the main QSO screen, but when you select record to edit, these filed do not show up. Any help
Thanks es 73 Dan
Hullo all . I have just installed CQRLog and have got it running good but there is one thing that I cannot do and that is set the date and time to my location . Can some please help me in that respect. Thank you
This is a suggestion to restart CQRLOG when a new DXCC file is downloaded.
Rather than just have a dialog that says to restart CQRLOG, how about having a dialog that asks if the user wants to restart CQRLOG. If the response is no, just close the dialog. If the response is yes, overlay the current process with a new instance of the CQRLOG process.
It's nothing critical, but it might be easily implemented.

Does Martin still get issues regarding the country files? For example, YU4EBL currently unconditionally resolves to Bosnia-Herzegovina (501) from the CallResolution table. I worked YU4EBL many times in the 1980's so for DXCC it is Yugoslavia (296).
Just loaded the FLDIDGI.PET, the extra libs .PET, and uncompressed CQRLOG and ran the install.
I was not able to get it to install the nice icon image automatically but that's no big deal.
CQRLOG and FLDIGI both appear to be working fine on the just-released Wary 030 version of Puppy Linux.
It looks as though I will be able to use CQRLOG for Field Day!
I have a new install of CQRLog and am having some rig control issues. The rig is a FT-900 and it is very slow to respond even with 'medium' poll times of 300-500 milliseconds. And it does not always read the mode information correctly. And sometimes when I try to change mode with the software I see 'Invalid Mode Type: CW' or whatever mode I am trying to go to, and that causes the CAT connection to drop completely. Once the CAT connection drops the only way I have been able to re-establish it is to shutdown the software and restart it.
Hello-just installed and I get an error "cant load library ...../libfbembed.so.2.1.1" when I try to run.
Also missing libstdc++5 --- synaptic software manager says it is not available.
Thanks Dan
As far as I can remember, rig control in CQRLOG always worked in one direction in my case, ie. fetching data from transceiver worked fine, and setting transceiver from cqrlog always failed. Even more, when it fails, fetching also works no more.
Now I turned on the Debug of cqrlog and found out, that the rig control thread is terminated after hamlib cannot perform set_mode. The question is what to do and where to fix it. Here is what I see:
Hi evryone, Ive been using cqrlog for about 3 months and I find it the best Linux logging program out there. Recently, I upgraded from Ubuntu 9.1 to 10.4. After a few weeks, I started having many problems with 10.4, so I decided to go back to 9.1. I backed up all my cqrlog files, reinstalled the older version of Ubuntu. I have reinstalled cqrlog, and I have a desktop icon, but cqrlog wont launch. Ive tried a fresh install from the cqrlog 9.3 download, but Im having the same result. Any ideas on this?
Has any seen a problem using Ubuntu 10.04 with CQRLOG 0.9.3 painting the
QSO window incorrectly? The screen has a rectangle overlaying the QSO window
making hard to use. Here is a sample screen shot
I frequently get confirmation QSL through LOTW, but even when I have received confirmation through LOTW, CQRLOGGER claims that QSL is needed. Seems I have to enter Q in the QSL_RCVD column to get rid of the "QSL needed" information.
To me an LOTW confirmation is equally good as a QSL confirmation.
Can this logic be changed?

I imported some ADIF records where the call and other info was in lower case. At import CQRLOGGER did not convert to upper and the calls were entered as lower case. I later went into these records to edit, and the conversion happened automatically, however the editing window apparently searches the log based on what the starting record was. Ie the edit window did not show earlier/later contacts with same station as it seems the search function distinguishes between upper/lower characters.
Not a big deal, just an observation.

Silly little thing, but if there was a way to convert the km to miles from a setup option on new qso screen when the person's info is pulled from qrz, that would be fantastic.
Hi!
I made a mistake by importing the same ADIF twice which gave me each QSO twice in the log.
I decided to shut down the program and remove the log-file that I suppose is the "cqrlog.fdb" under log_data. After re-start I imported my log again, refreshed the data and rebuilt the DXCC-statistics. I now says "0" DXCC no matter what I try to do. If I try to look into the DXCC-statistics, for example "confirmed only" it gives me an empty form with no DXCC-content.
The only way I have figured to restore the DXCC-function is to re-install the whole program.
Hello,
When entering a QSO with a large comment (several lines of text), the comment went into the "Comment to QSO" field... but cqrlog failed with an exception: Divide by zero.
I can put less text into that field, no problems, but the exception seems to be thrown with larger amounts of text. And the "Large Note" option doesn't seem to help... it appears to be global.
Does anyone have a suggestion about managing large comments in QSOs? Thank you!

Hello,
I have my LoTW uploads working fine and I can manually get my Download Report off of the website to import my received QSO's into CQRLog. When I try to import with CQRLog's Download and process data from the website, I click on the "Download data from ARRL website" button and get the following message:
Size: 2324
Login success
File downloaded successfully
File:
/home/paul/cqrlog/lotw/2010-04-25_21-35-51.adi
Preparing import ....
I find that a little button to do search directly on the WEB Browser near the QRZ.com info
Callbock (qrz.com) will be util....
Yes I know that the funcion is available on the QSO LIST by right-clicking on the qso -> search on qrz.com
but a push botton on the main screen program is better
bye bye

Hi!
I´m a new Linux user and have just got started with Xubuntu 9.10.
The CQRLOG seem to work fine, I can log QSOs and other features also seem to work. BUT when I tried to import an ADIF-log created by DXLAB/DX-keeper nothing happens. Zero imported QSOs and no content in the folder where the qsos should be stored. The message I get is that ADIF import was successful!
The log file works fine when uploaded to LOTW. I have added the libraries as suggested in other threads here on this forum.
