Hi, new to CQRlog and hear a lot of good things about it. I'm trying to migrate from Windows and looking for Radio software to replace the ones I use in Windows. I've installed Zorin OS 16 Pro and installing software for Amateur radio. I installed the latest version of CQRLog, but when I enter a call and all the pertinent info and press enter to log it gives me a "Incorrect Date Format Error". I didn't enter a date because it was automaticically inserted by the program. eg 2022-08-17. It won't log the call until I correct it, but I don't know how it wants it. Any help would be appreciated.
Advanced Forum Search
Every time a new call is logged (automatically) a screen pops up saying this call (W9IMS) can not be deleted ??
I checked my logbook and there is no such call in my log. I can't figure this out.
Any help ?
Tim
What do I need to do in order to be able to search the forums?
Dave.
Following a power outage, I'm getting this error on my database & it's preventing CQRLOG from running:
I have a stupid question: how do I delete a QSO from the CQRlog log? I hit SAVE by mistake instead of QUIT. The QSO in question has not been uploaded to LoTW yet. Thanks. Joe. N0NOW
LATER COMMENT: I Found the DELETE QSO button. Done. Sorry I bothered you. Blushing, Joe.
Hi,
I'm using CQRLOG now for 6 years and I have to say thank you to the whole Crew for your excelent work. Due to the fact, that the upgrade from Ubuntu Mate 20.04 to 22.04 failed, I had to install a new Ubuntu Mate 22.04 and also a new CQRLOG.
I upgraded from Mint 20.3 to Mint 21. CQRLOG works great except when I use a rig not connected to the computer and TRX control. There is a 0 (zero) permanently in the frequency display in TRX control and the NEW QSO frequency display. I cannot erase the 0 and when I try to manually enter a frequency it always reverts back to the 0. TRX control and New QSO frequency displays work perfectly when I'm using a rig connected to the computer.
Any help appreciated!

Hi
Just installed Ubuntu 22.04 from scratch and then CQRLOG. When launching the program for the first time I get this message:
"Database problem"
"MySQL could not be started, please check if the MySQL server is installed properly."
But, "service mysql status" tells me that it is running. I can also log in to MySQL DB using "sudo mysql -u root".
As told in the dialog box, the last 20 lines of the error file (there are only 8):
Would it be possible to add another option in the filter menu to act as a shortcut when wanting to use a saved filter?
Maybe add "Load" after "Create" which would take you directly to the file dialog.
Even nicer would be a "Load" selection which displayed a drop down list of the saved filters
Clublog V2.5.2(001)
After editing and saving a QSO selected from an active filter and uploading it to LotW the ClubLog update sends *all* the QSOs in the filter NOT just the edited one.
To reproduce do the following:
1) First make sure clublog is up to date.
Onlinelog -> Clublog -> upload all changes
2)Create a filter and view some QSOs
3) Edit and Save one of the QSOs.
4) Upload to Lotw
QSL -> LOTW -> Export -> Upload
5) Update Clublog again
Onlinelog -> Clublog -> upload all changes
I'm trying to import an ADIF file and it will not, the error is "wrong QSO mode".
I have tried changing the mode to one that should be ok (CW for example) but i still get the error and cannot import.
Any solutions please
UPDATE: NO REPLY NECESSARY i FOUND MY MISTAKE BY NOT CHANGING THE CHARACTER COUNT WHEN I CHANGED THE MODE, SORRY..

I returned to ham radio last fall after being (mostly) inactive for almost 30 years. On of my first tasks to try to catch up with technology was to enter all my old log books into CQRLOG. Typing the QSOs was tedious but very nostalgic - seeing the new DXCC entries appear, old friends' calls from 75m chats, psyching out old propagation patterns (10m will come back, soon I hope), etc. The log books are now done, but I'm only ~half way through the box of contest logs.
The last person who tried to help me suggested that I check to make sure I have MariaDB installed.
I ran the version command, and this is what I get:
mysql --version
mysql Ver 15.1 Distrib 10.1.48-MariaDB, for debian-linux-gnu (x86_64) using readline 5.2
i keep getting an error where Synaptic or Discover Updates cannot overwrite 'usr/share/cqrlog/changelog.html'.
using root privileges, i was able to manually delete the file, and even tho the html file was gone, i still get the error.
Any ideas,thanks, VA3CME
I can't get CQR log to start. I get the "Database problem" dialog box. I am running Linux Mint 19.3. CQR log used to run fine, but I haven't used it in a while. When it failed to start, I attempted a new install and did not get any errors during the install process. However, it fails on startup. Can someone help me out? Here are the last few lines from the log file:
I have my CQR log on my QRZ web page. It used to automatically upload whenever I entered a new qso. It stopped doing this and I don't know why.
It was working fine for a long time but all of a sudden it is not uploading. I am not very well versed in Linux so I don't even know where to begin.
I read through all the information about CQRLog but can't find anything to help me.
Any help is appreciated. Contact me direct at kb3tc@gmx.com
Thanks,
Tim
I subscribed to QRZ.com today but I can't get the QRZ callbook support working in CQRlog. I know I'm using the correct username and password for QRZ but I keep getting an error that says "username and or password incorrect" What am I doing wrong? Hamqth callbook lookup still works fine.

When I want to change direction on the Rotor Control it would be nice if all the numbers could be selected as I have to backspace all the numbers anyway before I type in a new direction. Not a major problem.

Hello,
I'm sure I'm not the only one among the thousands of CQRLOG users which has faced this issue.
When the program saves the same QSO twice (happening some times with FT-8 and WSJT-X logging feature) and you try to delete one of these duplicates, then if you have enabled the upload onto CLUBLOG and, or HDRLOG, the updating/uploading process fails because the remote servers cannot proceed because they don't found anymore the QSO!
Hi All,
1. I use CQ-monitor everyday, but I am missing the information if caller is LoTW user (via additional color option on the right click).
2. IMHO the monitor could show not only CQ but also RR73, 73 strings (with the consequence that the utility's name becomes a bit wrong hihi)
