CQRlog and FLDIGI Question

Hi - I am running CQRlog 1.9.0 and FLDIGI 3.22.01. The radio is an Elecraft KX3. If I run FLDIGI standalone / by itself, changing the frequency on the KX3 changes it also in FLDIGI. Same with running CQRlog by itself - a change to the KX3 frequency also shows the new frequency in CQRlog.

But, if I start CQRlog and have it start FLDIGI, a change of frequency on the KX3 does NOT happen in FLDIGI. I can see the new frequency in CQRlog, but FLDIGI never changes if it was initiated by CQRlog. In FLDIGI I have it set to use Hamlib.

Trying to get V2

I currently have CQRlog 1.9.0 running on my Raspberry Pi 3 with Raspian Jessie. I ran a sudo apt-get update, then sudo apt-get install cqrlog. After a few lines of the usual info I get "cqrlog is already the newest version."

I thought there was a version 2 - how do I do the upgrade on this system?

Thanks, Jim / W6JHB

CQRLOG and rigctld

Has there been a change how CQRLOG uses rigctld.

My rigctld starts on computer startup and I have asked CQRLOG to start rigctld also. It seems that it registers that it can not start rigctld and there is no rigctl. Restart of rigctl do not work.

If I manually kill my running rigctld and restarts CQRLOG wo a running rigctld everything works ok. But then rigctld unloads on exiting CQRLOG.

Rigctld on this station is used by various software therefore I need it running at all times.

More newbee questions

I just installed Ubuntu 16.04 and also Ver. 2.0 of CQRLOG. I am not seeing my radio. I have a Yaesu FT 2000 and have it selected in TRX control set to 4800 from the radios menu, Data is 8, 2, and none,. DEVICE is /dev/tty/S0. I've tried several other settings as well. Handshake is Hardware DTR is OFF and RTS is ON and is connected to a serial port. I have also tried the serial to USB interface (preferred) and still nothing. Being new to Ubuntu, I don't know how to set the com ports up, or if that is even possible. Any help would be appreciated.
Tnx,

2.0.1-1 > IC-718 - TRX Control losing connection [SOLVED]

So tickled to finally get the package working (somewhat) as of the latest version, but having a problem with TRX control window losing connection with the rig after about 20 seconds, (time varies). Running Linux Mint Cinnamon 17.3 (64 bit) in a virtual machine. Connected to rig via FTDI USB-serial cable.

Installed using terminal:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ok2cqr/ppa;sudo apt-get update;sudo apt-get install cqrlog

Everything appeared to go perfectly well, including all dependencies.

Configured preferences - current TRX control tab is as follows:
