A friend of min is running CQRLOG 2.5.2 on Xubuntu 18.04.
After an update he got the following error message in mysql.err. Any solution? Thanks a lot in advance!

I installed cqrlog a few months back, it was straight forward and it worked just fine but then didn't use it again until today.
Previously I opened it using KDE but today I couldn't locate cqrlog. It disappeared from KDE.
I'm not aware I did anything to the PC, no updates or new programs, but hey, these things happen.
I searched for all the cqrlog files and they are all still there in various directories that look familiar.

I am using CQRLOG 2.5.2 and have a couple of hundred QSOs listed. With your help in the thread "Ubuntu 20.04 and CQRLOG/hamlib," my data appear to be updated and complete. Below is another newbie confusion. Thank you for your patience with a learner.
I'm running CQRLOG 2.5.1 (001) on Mint 20.0 I would like to update Mint to version 20.1 but fear that it will mess up my CQRLOG files and installation because of the way certain folder locations have changed with the Unified Filesystem Layout and /usr/merge. Has anyone performed this Mint update successfully, and if so, did you encounter any problems with your CQRLOG?

Wrong DXCC recognised - A manual correction with "Edit QSO" fails.
I am running CQRLOG 2.5.2 in Mint 20.1 64 bit Cinnamon desktop. It works very well but I just noticed that it is using Hamlib 3.3-10 build 1 but the latest Hamlib is 4.1. I thought that the latest Hamlib was loaded with a new CQRLOG install. From what I can tell the 3.3-10 is what is in the Mint repository. Not a concern right now but if I acquire a new rig I may not be able to connect it id it's not in 3.3-10. Is there an easy way to install Hamlib 4.1 without doing any hard to my current CQRLOG install?

I have a problem. I have configured cqrlog to work with flrig and here everything works. Unfortunately when I give in cqrlog "remote for wsjtx" and wsjtx configure with flrig this one is not cooperating with working with two vfo. When I configure cqrlog to work with hamlib (Yaesu dx3000) and the same wsjtx there is again the same problem. Only when I run wsjtx alone and configure it to work with hamlib(dx3000) there is not this problem. Anyone encountered something like this?

Ubuntu 20.04 Cannot install cqrlog, after several installation with mysql problem.
I tried several solutions found here in the forum without results. how to purge mariadb and the installed packages to start from 0.
I get this info when I do
sudo apt-get install cqrlog
By way of setting the understanding bar very low, I am new to having any sort of computer in my shack and to computer logging, and have no skills or experience in any sort of programming. I am using a Raspberry Pi4 (2 Gb) running CQRLog 2.4.0 (001) and WSJT-X with an IC7300 satisfactorily, in that the remote facility logs FT8 QSOs for me, and I type in other QSOs manually. That's pretty much all I use it for at the moment, though I may look into QSLing electronically in future.
Since this is no longer about the option to possibly replace MySQL by something else (see other thread), I think a new thread is more adequate.
After recovering the database from a SQL dump, I'm now facing a strange problem. In some of the logs (but not all of them), when trying to display the QSO list, I get
qCQRLOG : Field not found : "id_cqrlog_main".
Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption.
Press Abort to kill the program.
I am trying to use cqrlog in the SPDX contest with the contest notepad open in S&P mode. I have checked "Inc" and "No". After entering the callsign and hitting TAB, the cursor jumps to "MSG r" field. After this is filled in I hit "enter" to log the QSO.
The cursor should now jump back to the "Call" field of the contest notepad, instead it jumps to the Call field of the main form. I have to take the mouse and click inside the Call field of the notepad every time after a QSO.
Can this be fixed in the next release?

TRX control is currently very minimal and not convenient to control a remote station (mine is only a few ten's of meters far, but we can also imagine control over the internet).
I imagine that writing a new interface is time consuming and development people has higher priorities.
Can we imagine to interface CQRlog with FLRIG as it has been done with FLDIGI. In my understanding, that can improve greatly the remote capabilities at minimal work.

Hi know I should have a handle on this by now. I have built a Linux Mint 20/Windows10 laptop for myself. Of course CQRLOG gave me the issue when opening CQRLOG the first time. It was the typical TMYSQL error opening. I fixed that one by opening the terminal and installing Mariadb server10.x and mariadb client 10.x. After that it was all good.

I at times update my installer scripts at https://github.com/pa1sbm/LM_CQRlog_Installer
This scripts are tested on a fresh install of the current LinuxMint Cinamon edition.
These scripts install CQRlog in a way that when Petr publishes an update, it will be automatically installed via the update manager.
I just installed cqrlog and i cannot connect to to my 991 is there an updated hamlib that would fix this? if so how can i get it installed?

I am new to CQRLOG (very impressed with what I've seen so far!) and am having trouble getting data from external QSO logs to download into my local log. Is CQRLOG stable on Ubuntu 20.04?
And, are the hamlib utilities trustworthy on 20.04? I also cannot get my K2 (new to me) to accept rig control via the hamlib utilities.

I went from Mint 19.3 to Mint 20.1 (a new installation) by installing the new version of CQRLog as instructed, everything went perfectly. I copied the old directory .cqrlog but when I start the program I see that some icons are missing from the menus.
How do I restore them?

Hi.
Have set up CQRLOG according the instructions by DL1GKK. But CQRLOG don't log the QSOs.
Starting the remote control - for example 'Remote mode for wsjtx' ,a button at the bottom in red says 'Offline'
and up where the callsign normally is it says 'wsjt-x remote #1' and 'wsjt-x remote #2' in blue and red - one color or the other.
I have checked the port numbering, but can not see any error there. What did I do wrong, pse?

I am new to crqlog. It looks like it is exactly what I need for my logging needs.
I just installed crqlog 2.3.0-2 via apt on my old 32-bit PC running anti-X Linux.
(Anti-X 19 is based on Debian Buster).
The installation of cqrlog and all its dependencies was successful.
But when I try to open a new Database / Logfile, I see the following error:

I press OK and nothing happens.

I'm sorry to spam the forum. But the topic may be interested for some here.
After I had dealt with the printing of labels for QSL cards, I made a Youtube video right away.
This is in German, but fortunately there is the automatic translation function for subtitles on YouTube - so there is no language barrier anymore.
The CVS export from CQRLOG is shown and the labels are designed with gLabels.

It is quite possible that everyone here in the forum already knows cqrlog well. On 21.03. several log programs are presented on the DARC's Big Blue Button server. I myself introduce cqrlog. OK, I got CQRLog installed, however when I start the program a window pops up labeled: Database connection. It wants a user name and password to connect to the MySQLserver. How do I create a user and password? I tried starting MySQL and doing it from the MySQL shell, but it fails to launch, halting with an error. I checked the CQRLog docs and don't see any reference to the window that I see when I launch the program.
Help would be greatly appreciated!
