Hello my name is Bob my call is W3RAR. I am a new user looking at this program. I am a member of Parks On The Air. So as such we go operate in the field much like SOTA does. I currently have all windows os in use. However I want to mess with a Raspberry PI and that runs Linux of course. I currently use a great logger called ACLog. It is only available for windows unfortunately. So I find myself starting from scratch. I am well aware of Andy's Ham Radio software packages. That is what I am going to be working with.

Any suggestions?
Hi!
This evening I played with virtualbox creating a new virtual PC for testing how difficult Ubuntu and cqrlog install is.
First problem was to find Ubuntu LTS 20.04 net install media. After reading a long debate of angry users who had not found net install image for LTS 20 any more I finally found a message containing a link to still existing net install image "mini.iso".
Down loaded that and connected it as virusl PC's CD rom and started install.
Just curious, it's been almost 11 months since ver 2.4 was rolled out. Is there a new version in the works?

After upgrade to Ubuntu 20.4 the upload to clublog fails with
"Upload failed! Check Internet connection"
cqrlog debug=1 returns:

select * from log_changes where id > 36340 order by id
SyncUpdate:
SyncMsg :ClubLog: Uploading E20WXA

Greetings.
LAN IP addres of my Debian system is 192.168.0.14
From "Database connection" window I can connect using:
- "Server Name": localhost, 127.0.0.1, public IP of my server
- "User name": cqrlog, pma, sp2l, root
Using as "Server name" 192.168.0 14 I can NOT connect at all.
Why is that, please?
Is RFC1918 16-bit block somewhere disabled in CQRLog?
From CLI and PhpMyAdmin webpage I can connect
to CQRLog database using all above listed "User names"
and all "Server names", including 192.168.0.14
Greetings.
While ago worked AH0U on 14MHz band.
JTDX-2.2.0-rc152 displays this callsign as U.S.A.
CQRLog - as Mariana Islands.
BIG cty.dat lists this callsign correctly,
as U.S.A. and NOT as Mariana Islands.
Best regards.

Because this error has been reported several times from several users and is not unique to cqrLOG I wrote to LOTW help as follows (will post follow ups):
My problem is reported already by several users. And yes, uploading works perfectly since I use the compiled version:
By uploading to eQSL they need a QTH/Nickname -> OK
By downloading from eQSL they to NOT want the Nick, so you have to delete it -> OK
Before the next upload you have to enter the nick agn. And so on. Would be nice, if there would not be an input for a nick when downloading is wanted.
Hi,
Running 2.4.0 on Linux Mint 19 and bleeding edge (source pull) gpredict and hamlib.
When in new QSO screen with Satellite tab selected there is a space for "RX Frequency".
Above on the same screen is the Frequency that is read in from the radio that IS the RX Frequency.
Since all (assumption) satellite work is done in split mode, can you not use the hamlib get_split_freq to get the TX frequency?
That leaves the question, Shouldn't the space on the satellite tab be "TX Frequency" and could it not be filled in automatically with data from get_split_freq?

After upgrading to Linux Mint 20 (And downgrading again to 19.3 with timeshift)
When i run cqrlog i get an error:
Error during connection to database: TMySQL57Connection : Server connect failed.
then the database window opens but no logs available
I ran cqrlog with debug here is the output.
reggy@reggy-asus:~$ cqrlog --debug=1
Fontconfig warning: "/etc/fonts/conf.avail/53-monospace-lcd-filter.conf", line 10: Having multiple values in isn't supported and may not work as expected
I just installed CQRLog on a new Linux install and I have a whole host of problems. So I will start at the first one. When I open up CQRLog I get a pop-up message that says "CQRLog is not responding" and I have the choice of clicking "Force Quit" and "Wait"
I click "Wait" and I get two windows saying that it can't connect to the database. I close those windows and it goes to the window that allows you to pick different log execpt I don't have a log yet and the only option I have is to hit cancel and close the program
This has happened in the last day or two. When I try to select a different DX cluster the window comes up and I am able to select a different cluster but the "OK" box does not appear. So I am unable to change to a different DX cluster.
Any ideas?

***** I had loaded and used the latest JTDX rc152. I just deleted it and now the DX cluster window is working properly. Think I will stay away from JTDX!
Hey all,
New user to CQRLog and Linux Mint 20. Have everything working pretty good but seem to have 2 problems that seem minor. First is when i use WSJT-X and make a contact, it only pulls first name into the log and i have to fill in the last name, even though callbook is pulling and displaying all the info in the box off to the right. I am using QRZ.com as my callbook.
Hi all,
perhaps someone can point me in the right direction:
I want to search for all QSO in the QSO List, where the field "Award" is not empty. Because there are no specific fields for e.g. GMA or FloraFauna Awards, I simply put the reference (in this field, when making a contact. Now I want to export all those QSO with an entry in the "Award" field it for further evaluation, but I don't find a way to do so. Any ideas?

I upload directly my QSO to HamQTH and Clublog.
For some time now I have been getting the following error message with the status of log upload:
HamQTH: Uploading "Call" ... OK
HamQTH: Done ...
Club log; Uploading DD 0 WN
Clublog: Rejected: Callsign is your own call
What's wrong?
I have already deleted and re-uploaded everything on Clublog. Without success.
Thanks for the Help.

I'm afraid that the A7 entity (Qatar) is not included in the database, so any A7 confirmed contact is not considered for the DXCC CFM calculation.
Am I right? Can it be fixed?

Hi there,
I have an issue here on my 24/7 shack machine with mariadb & CQRLOG 2.4.0 & Ubuntu 20.04 LTS:
After some hours of no activity, when I click some action that triggers a db-request I get:
TMySQL57Connection : Error executing query: MySQL server has gone away.
Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption.
Press Abort to kill the program.
If I abort and restart everything's fine. The dbserver does not need any action from my side.

Hey everybody,
since I am a pilot and working HF out the aircraft I have quickly changing locators. I would like to mention these locators in the logbook. Is there any way to add a field where I can enter the locator I was at at the time of the QSO? Or do I only have the comments field for this purpose?
