I'm unable to get CQRLOG to start due to a MySQL error. I am running Ubunti 22.04 LTS. Any thoughts? Tnx 73 de AE4WX
Here is the mysql.err file:
I am running version 2.6.0_(125) 2024-03-14. When using the contest window and tabbing between fields the software is activating voice memories in my rig. When I save the contact the program briefly activates rig to TX mode for a fraction of a second.
Is it possible to directly update my older version of CQRLog to the latest Alpha version 124 or 125 using the instructions from Saku's YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_QLQhQyFVg)?
Has anyone made this change and has it been stable and working properly?
I used Calc before I knew CQRlog. Mainly domestic QSOs.
Now I try to import them to CQRlog.
I have got a PERL converting script by help of AI.
my csv: (header same as adif tag)
call,qso_date,time_on,freq,band,mode,rst_sent,rst_rcvd,cnty,gridsquare,qth_intl,app_cqrlog_qsls,app_cqrlog_qslr,my_gridsquare,name_intl,comment,notes,award

only me? Really inconfortable.
Why not today? also 2024-03-20.
But today in 2024-03-14.
CQRLOG is wonderful! Thank you everyone for all the work that goes into making it so good.
At the end of logging, I export the current session ADI file to LoTW and eQSL. It is not difficult, but maybe this session upload could be automated to LoTW, eQSL, QRZ etc?
The closing backup of the whole ADI works very well, as does the QSO upload to Clublog.
I am a new user so this may be something in the help file, but I have not found an answer. It is my understanding that LOTW only recognizes FT4 as mode MFSK with a sub-mode of FT4. Unless that has been changed, how do I enter a FT4 QSO so that it will be accepted into CQRLOG and will successfully upload into LOTW?
Thanks and 73,

This is NOT meant to be a flame.
The last "Official" release of CQRLog is ver. 2.5.2 and is now over 3 years old. There are updates via GitHub, but if I was new potential user, I would probably only install the "official" release which is quite old now. In fact, if I didn't know any better and was a noob, I would just think, CQRLog is a dead program since it's last release date is SO old.
I am trying to get CQRLog to key my Elecraft K4 radio's built-in voice memories via the use of keyboard Fx (Function keys) just like on CW.
When I am using Windoze 10 and N1MM logger for contests, there is a VERY simple command that can be easily modified in a text editor to execute a radio command via CAT control. The command to use in the N1MM program is: {CAT1ASC PB1;} This command tells the radio to use CAT and send radio memory push button #1, in which I have recorded my CQ message. The radio can store up to 8 different voice messages PB1 - PB8.
Sorry, but is it a drugstore now?!
this is what I'm getting when I start the program can anyone help with a fix for this.
Saku made a shell script to do this a long time ago, but it stopped working because of changes in the LoTW page format. So, I redid it with comments to make it easier to change if the LoTW page changes again. I put my script in a file so I could easily run it whenever I needed. Here are the steps:
First, I LOVE this program.
Second, I'm trying to make windows take up less space. When you shrink the "CW type" window horizontally , the "Send CW using" part moves over the top of "CW speed". I change "CW speed" a lot (almost every QSO) and believe that most CW ops do too and therefore, the "CW speed" part should overlay on top of the "Send CW using" part as you shrink the window horizontally.
I would even say that the "Send CW using" is changed so rarely that you could move it to the "Preferences=>CW interface" dialog. In years of doing CW, I have never changed it.
I was moving things over to a new computer and when I imported the ADIF from my old log, I noticed the eqsl sent/received flags weren't showing up. The associated dates are there, but not the 'Y' in those columns. I even tried adding them via the SQL console but it doesn't seem to have updated. Any ideas? (This is on xubuntu 22.04.4 with a version I built from source with mariadb as the database server. There's on in the xubuntu repo but it fails to start w/mysql errors that I've not yet debugged and I recall reading the official cqrlog repo doesn't support 22.04).
Mostly FYI: Running 122. Now and then I get a "Thread error". Unfortunately I have not manage to get it when I start in debug mode. :(
Will try to find the cause.
When i upload satellite qso's to club they just appear as direct contacts with each respective country, why does it not show "Sat" or "Satellite" in clublog ?
I see other stations on qrz.com have the clublog widget on their site and it shows "Sat" in there.
I have looked trough the settings and i cannot find anything regarding this.
Any advice appreciated

I have been running various versions of cqrlog_qt5 on openSUSE Tumbleweed for
the past year, and last weekend decided to build the latest version from
Saku's loc_testing repo. Since TW is a rolling distribution, I got to use the
latest tools - Lazarus 3.0, glibc 2.39, Qt5 5.15.2+kde patches, etc.
After a 'git pull' from loc_testing, the first try was a simple 'make
clean;make cqrlog_qt5;make DESTDIR=~/.local install', as I've used before.
Just built the latest git loc_master, and found that search doesn't work.
A section of the debug output:
Polling - allowcommand:-1
Polling - allowcommand:-1
Polling - allowcommand:-1
Polling - allowcommand:-1
Polling - allowcommand:-1
SELECT * FROM view_cqrlog_main_by_qsodate WHERE (callsign LIKE '%J35X%') AND (qsodate >= '9999-12-31') AND (qsodate <= '9999-12-31')
SELECT * FROM view_cqrlog_main_by_qsodate WHERE (callsign LIKE '%J35X%') AND (qsodate >= '9999-12-31') AND (qsodate <= '9999-12-31')
I got this working but only half way. AZ data is read by CQRlog but send commands do not work. Rotor just site there with no reaction to left right short path long path buttons.

Hi folks,
I'm Christian DL1ELU and have just installed CQRLOG 2.5.2. on Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon. Everything looks good so far, but I'm struggling with rotator control:
In the near future I'm going to control my rotator from a RaspberryPi that will sit on the tower (and do some other things like switching antennas, webcam etc.). On the RPi I have installed a software from here: https://www.clearskyinstitute.com/ham/G5500/
Hello,
I just installed cqrlog on a new Computer, using a Backup of the config Files. Configs from fldigi, wsjtx and cqrlog are copied from a Backup. cqrlog is latest Version (using a Installation from Repo and the newupdate.sh script). wsjtx is latest Version and did work, Standalone and Remote. Fldigi was a Version from Repo and updated with a compiled Version from Source Code. It is running Standalone with the Backup Config File.
My rigctld has stopped working. I am using 2.6.0_122-Gtk2 Alpha. When I run whereis -b rigctld I get /usr/bin/rigctld /usr/local/bin/rigctld which is two diferent paths. Hamlib version in synaptic is 4.3.1-1 build 2. My WSJTX Hamlib version is 4.6. WSJTX rigctld works just fine. I tried switching the rigctls path in CQrlog to the WSJTX version with no luck. My guess is that somehow a second path has appeared and is causing rigctld to not work - how can I fic this?

Saku;
Found a glitch in Ver: 2.6.0 (122) GK2 – in the County window try entering WI,Fond du Lac or IL,Rock Island.
It works if you string the words together and then arrow back to add the spaces. Auto fill from QRZ is not affected.
Thanks.
I clicked Statics-->ITU, then I looked an alert window:
Index Out of range Cell[Col=2 Row=81].
Only I?
I use ver.2.6.0_(122) 2024-01-26, but I editted fNewQSO.lfm.
On pressng OK, I can look the list, but not calculated.
