Rig control stopped working with cqrlog upgrade from 1.4.1 to 1.5.2
My software updater wanted to update cqrlog to 1.5.2. After the upgrade the rig control stopped working. The rig control screen in preferences now includes parameters for:
serial speed = 57600
data bits = 8
stop bits = 1
parity = none handshake = xon/xoff (Does handshake = flow control?)
rts = on drt = default

I'm using Version 1.5.2 under opensuse 12.2. I'm really lucky with it even for the fact that it runs under LINUX.
I found a few things that I don't know if it is wanted like it is.
1. If I want to edit the "RST" I found out, that I can not insert a Value like "599+10". The mask does not accept the "+" but the "-". This is not only for the plus from the numberpad but also for the plus from the letterkeyboard.
Hello,
I try to use my microkeyer II USB together with CQRLOG and MHUXD.
I checked the conf of MHUXD - 4 dev are open (cat1, fsk1, ptt1, wk1) and ftdi_soi is loaded.
after plugin the mkII the devices are created (good) but I have no clue how to connect from CQRLOG the MKII usb.
Changing some parameter within fldigi - i see, that something happens at the mkII (e.g. the led of line blinks) - that tells me, that I have somewhere another error :)
I've got an old log file from version 0.9.6 that I'd like to import into the current version. I'd like to use 0.9.6 to open up my old format file and export it into ADIF so I can pull it into the new version.
I'm not having any luck getting an active download link for that older version. Can anybody point me to it or send me the file?
Thanks, John N8CD
When I enter a new contac, the address info appears in the Callbook info box in the lower right of the QSO list screen, but then disappears. When I view the QSO entry, the address entry is not there. Is this normal?
Thanks.
Is there a way to print address labels?
Is the address supposed to appear in the box ( Callbook ) in the lower right corner of the QSO screen? Mine is empty if I use either HamQTH or QRZ.
CQRlog 1.5.2
Enter a callsign in "Call" filed like RD3A and perform the lookup, if you modify the entry like RD3AA without clearing the qso the program shows the old data on name, grid, etc..
In callbook field there are 2 lookups.
Is possible to "auto-clear" the lookup when you modify the callsign?
Thanx.

New to cqrlog, I started playting around with club memberships. After choosing a few in File -> Perferences -> Membership, I then tried Statistics -> Membership tracking -> Rebuild membership statistics. It brings up a window with the membership I chose earlier. I checked the first box, then clicked Start. A pop up appeared:
Hello,
I'am new to eQsl and have a problem.
Currently I've 2000 QSOs in the log. Now I want to upload the QSOs to eqsl. Clicking Menu->QSL->eQsl->Upload. After clicking "upload", ALL qso are uploaded, even i've set a Filter (bug or feature?). After Sending the file (approx 300kb in size), CqrLog seems hanging with the message "waitung for eQSL server". After one hour, the message was still displayed and I simply clicked the "close"-button. It was clickable and the window disappeared, CqrLog was nor really hanging.
Hi,
I am using CQRLog on my main shack computer but also on two laptops that I travel with. On my main PC I have my home log (M0TRN) and on the laptop I have logs for the various calls I use when travelling (e.g. M0TRN/P, OV5T, W7/OV5T etc.)
I want to copy all the logs from the laptop to my main PC when I am at home, both to upload to LoTW (I don't have the LoTW software and certificates on my laptop) and to be able to do look up in the other logs.
I'm new to logging, CQRLOG and eQSL. I tried placing my qsl message for a contact in the cqrlog "Comment to QSO:" field (which ends up in the "Remarks" column in the QSO list) and then upload to eQSL, but it didn't show up. Then I exported the contact to an adi file and saw that it was placed in a "COMMENT" tag. According to the eQSL site, the correct tag for the message should be "QSLMSG". I replaced "COMMENT" with "QSLMSG" and imported the file up to eQSL. That worked.
Hello - my first posting here. I'm quite happy with CQR version 1.5.2 and have been using it for some time with Ubuntu 12.10.
I've decided to add my scanned QSL cards to the program, but can't get the call attachment or QSL icons to appear. I believe I've created the individual call folders correctly (such as "KW1ND") in the call_data subfolder, and labeled the images properly, such as "qsl_KW1ND_front.jpg").
Is there another step I'm missing? I've restarted the program several times, but still no icons appear for those calls.
I am getting a "Disk Full" message when starting CQRLOG. When I try to start it from a command like, I get a bunch of gibberish. I am getting ready to move things to a new PC, but I am afraid I may have just lost my logs and etc. Can someone help? What is going on? I can run the updates and etc...

Ok I finally got around to doing my profile on HamQTH go take a look and tell me what you think. Thanks Tom, K8WDX
Hi,
Firstly thanks for the software, almost perfect.
Only a few bugs that occur.
1) the QSO list does not always continue pass 500 QSO's if I scroll down to the bottom of the list, as it should. I keep having to create a filter to see more.
2) SH/MYDX 100 results are not clickable on the bandmap. This has been reported already I beleive, see previous reports.
3) If I put my Telnet password into the cluster it crashes and reports:
List index (-1) out of bounds.
Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption.
Hi all,
I'm a new cqrlog user and have likely overlooked how to do this. But it seems that to make cqrlog aware what needs uploading to lotw and eqsl, that you must first upload everything in the log. :-o
I'd prefer not to re-upload thousands of qsos simply to make cqrlog "know" current upload status. Is there a way to make or trick cqrlog to be aware of what has or hasn't been uploaded?
73! And thanks to the generous and energetic authors.

I HAD TWO VERSIONS 1.41 AND 1.52. 1.5.2 HAD SOME ISSUES AND WAS DELETED. SYNAPTIC COULD ONLY GET 1.4.1 SO I AM USING IT. I AM RUNNING UBUNTU 12.10. MY TRX SETTING ARE:
PATH TO RIGCTLD BINARY: /usr/bin/rigctld
RADIO: OMNI VII
HOST: localhost
RIG ID: 1611
DEVICE: /dev/ttyUSB0
POLL RATE: 2000
PORT: 4532
COMMAND LINE: -r /dev/ttyUSB0 -m 1611
RUN RIGCTLD WHEN PROGRAM STARTS: Checked
Hello, I've got a New Year's resolution to start electronic logging but I've run into the same trouble I've had in the past. I'd appreciate any pointers, I'm stumped.
Howdy!
I've noticed that CQRLOG supports two radios on the rig control configuration page. It's not clear to me how one is to specify which radio is the one actually being used.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks,Tad
THIS IS MY SECOND POST BEGGING FOR HELP ON THE RIG CONTROL FUNCTION OF CQRLOG. DOES THIS WORK ON THE TEN TEC OMNI VII?
I WAS ABLE TO CONTROL THIS RIG WITH A XMLOG WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM. IT HAS NEVER WORKED WITH CQRLOG AND THE HAMLIB INSTALLED. THE HELP SCREEN I FOUND DOES NOT MATCH THE LAYOUT OF THE RX/TX PREFERENCE SCREEN. WHAT IS THE DEVICE SETTING MEAN? IS THE DEFAULT CORRECT?

I was getting an error when downloading QSLs from eQSL, and followed advice given to someone else about running CQRLog from the console to see what the message was. It appears that special characters in the parameters added to the URL being used to download the file aren't being properly escaped, and I was getting the error because my password contained some of them. Changing my eQSL password to something that doesn't contain any URL special characters resolved the problem.
Merry Christmas to all, and happy new year, may God Bless everyone of you, I would also like to thank all of those who help others on these forums, and a special thanks go out to Petr and his family, as well as Martin and his family, Thank you guys so much for all the hard work you put into this logging program and HamQTH! All the very best to you two and your families. Tom K8WDX
I just upgraded from Ubuntu 10.04 to 12.04 and with the upgrade from cqrlog 1.3.1 to 1.5.2. Rig control was working fine in the old installation. I've set all my TRX parameters to default, and when I run cqrlog from a terminal I get the following:
Settings:

RigCtldPath:/usr/bin/rigctld
RigCtldArgs:-m 221 -r /dev/ttyS0 -t 4532
RunRigCtld: TRUE
RigDevice: /dev/ttyS0
RigCtldPort:4532
RigCtldHost:localhost
RigPoll: 500
RigSendCWR: FALSE
