Quite often, I'm switching from FLdigi to CQRLog's QSO list to see if I've worked a particular station before. It's nice to be able to hit Ctrl-F to do a quick call sign filter, but it would be nicer if I could hit a key to cancel it instead of having to go to the Filter menu. The Escape key, perhaps? Something less obvious would work as well, as long as it's documented.

Hi Petr,
Could you consider display all sort of confirmation in DXCC stat (in new QSO window) like in qslr column. Now, if I have the entntity confirmed by card, I can't see if it is also confimed by LoTW or eQSL. The oly way to check it is use the filter which takes more time. Unfortunately I'm more interested in LoTW than paper card.

Hi Petr
Could you consider to get cqrlog and nanokeyer work together?

Nice piece of keyer and programs souce available too...
When I contact a US ham who has moved from his origional location such as KB6RRX HamQTH shows the correct address and state of Georgia. The DXCC info still shows hin in California and ingicates he is 3129 km distant from me, when I know he is under 20 km away.

Hi,
Gentlemen.
It would be nice if you could run an additional window with buttons.
Under these buttons we can find the different scripts.
For example, voice keyer.
I wrote something very simple:
#!/bin/bash
rs232 -d /dev/ttyUSB1 --dtr --rts
mpg321 -o alsa -a hw:1 sq5ltl-A.mp3
rs232 -d /dev/ttyUSB1 --dtr
A brief explanation:
command: rs232 info -> http://sjinn.sourceforge.net/index.html
in my RS-232 port DTR i use for CW and RTS for PTT (psk31 and voice :) )
I am new to Linux (running Linux Mint 14 32-bit) and have installed a StarTech PCI RS232 serial port card connected to my Icom IC-7000 Xcvr. My settings are as follows:
Rig model: 360
19200 baud
8/N/1
no parity
no hanshake, dtr or dts
I desparately want to bit farewell to Microsoft and this program is my only hold back.
Can anyone tell me what I'm not doing correctly?

Hi,
Had a QSO that started on 13 Feb 23:43 and went on until 14 Feb 00:15.
When I was done I hit Enter to save the QSO to the log, and all seemed fine. But then I wanted to check some details from the QSO so I brought up the QSO list and it wasn't showing. So I thought it had been lost.
Then I searched for the call of the guy I was talking to and it came up but it had been saved with the wrong date: instead of 2013-02-13 it was saved as 2012-02-12, or a day before the QSO happened!
I am trying to run CQRLog on Ubuntu 12.10 and am noticinig a few odd behaviours.
First I noticed that the fonts for the labels don't fit in the boxes. I believe this is due to me using larger fonts as a default in Ubuntu. This could probably be fixed by me going back to normal size fonts, however then it would be difficult for me to read on my large monitor.
Second when I try to add the repository as suggested on the website I get the following error:
I'm using 1.5.2 CQRLOG in Ubuntu 12.04. When I enter a QSO that spans a UTC date (eg. 23:59 to 00:15), the QSO is entered with current date minus 1 day....in other words, the previous day. I've notice this numerous times.

I am running Ubuntu 10.10 and CQRlog 1.4.1 and seem to have lost Preferences file as well as rig interface.
The configuration has worked well for 2+ years, I don't recall makeing any chages. However, I may have gotten a not on the new version and perhaps tried to install?
The top menu bar is limited to File View Wndoe Statistics
When I select Preferences from the File menu I get an error message "lbPreferences.scrolwidth unknown "scrollwitdht" Options are to continue or kill program.
Any thoughts or should I reinstall 1.4.1 ?
Hello Petr!
I use slow dial-up GPRS Internet connection. Usually DXCluster works fine when I choose one of a REAL DX Cluster. Problems are with REVERSEBEACON, especially during contest. In some minutes after start DXCluster window hangs up. Reconnecting to REVERSEBEACON has no effect, connecting to another DX Cluster fails too. Disconnecting & connecting occurs but there are no spots. The only way to get spots is to reload CQRLog itself and to connect to DX Cluster again.
I couldn't upload a screenshot. If it needs, I'll send by e-mail.
Good Morning,
The latest build of AR-Cluster now has a new command available. You can now do a sh hamqth callsign and get an output. Also sh/hamqth callsign will give you the output. Here us an example:
opsssssss ...hello petr by flavio, released this error in membership rebuild, and what?

Hi,
I try to run CQRLOG 1.5.2 under Ubuntu 12.04LTS in a netbook with 1024x600 display resolution and Unity desktop.
"Preferences" window is too high to fit the screen. Buttons on the bottom of the window (OK, Help, Cancel) don't fit on the screen, which make it difficult to save the settings and exit Preferences.
Is there any way to reduce the window height? Is the size of the window defined in any config file or is it deeper in the code?
All the other windows are either small enough to fit or they are scalable, only "Preferences" window causes problems.
I am getting access violation messages while I am updating or editing QSOs. I know Petr has some updates coming... Wondeirng if this will fix my issue...
Hi folks,
I updated my OS to Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS and installed CQRLog 1.5.2-1~precise.
Almost everything seems to work, but I'm missing the menu bar on the main screen after starting the program. Never had this problem before.
Any idea?
tnx de Helge, DL3SDN
I am finally getting ready to get caught up with all of my QSLing and updates. I have a box of cards to go through! As I started to look at the program. Here are my questions:
What do all of the QSL marking mean? There are more there than there is in the help file. Or are they in multiple places.
Is there a way to send some to the buro and others to GlobalQSL? I did not see a difference. I am guessing people do one or the other but not borh.
I did see the article "How to process QSO after a contest and print QSL labels". Great article!!
Hello,
Just yesterday, I started seeing this error when attempting to view my QSO list:
: Error executing query: Table 'cqrlog_main' is marked as crashed and should be repaired.
Can anyone offer advice on how this problem may have come about, and what I can do to repair the table?
Thanks for your help,

Normally I run Ubuntu 10.04 where CQRLog 1.5.2 runs as it is supposed to do.
So, just to play around I installed Mint 14 (Nadia) alongside. For some reason I couldn't get TRX control to work.
Starting from terminal (console) I got I/O error. Ofcourse I forgot to make myself a member of the dialout group..
After doing this I still got an error but this time "invalid configuration" when RIGCTLD was starting.
Rig control stopped working with cqrlog upgrade from 1.4.1 to 1.5.2
My software updater wanted to update cqrlog to 1.5.2. After the upgrade the rig control stopped working. The rig control screen in preferences now includes parameters for:
serial speed = 57600
data bits = 8
stop bits = 1
parity = none handshake = xon/xoff (Does handshake = flow control?)
rts = on drt = default
MY SOFTWARE UPDATER WANTED TO UPDATE AND INCLUDED WAS AN UPDATE TO CQRLOG 1.5.2. AFTER THE UPGRADE THE RIG CONTROL STOPPED WORKING. THE RIG CONTROL SCREEN IN PREFERENCES NOW INCLUDES PARAMETERS FOR:
SERIAL SPEED = 57600
DATA BITS = 8
STOP BITS = 1
PARITY = NONE
HANDSHAKE = XON/XOFF (IF HANDSHAKE = FLOW CONTROL)
RTS = ON
DTR = DEFAULT
I'm using Version 1.5.2 under opensuse 12.2. I'm really lucky with it even for the fact that it runs under LINUX.
I found a few things that I don't know if it is wanted like it is.
1. If I want to edit the "RST" I found out, that I can not insert a Value like "599+10". The mask does not accept the "+" but the "-". This is not only for the plus from the numberpad but also for the plus from the letterkeyboard.
Hello,
I try to use my microkeyer II USB together with CQRLOG and MHUXD.
I checked the conf of MHUXD - 4 dev are open (cat1, fsk1, ptt1, wk1) and ftdi_soi is loaded.
after plugin the mkII the devices are created (good) but I have no clue how to connect from CQRLOG the MKII usb.
Changing some parameter within fldigi - i see, that something happens at the mkII (e.g. the led of line blinks) - that tells me, that I have somewhere another error :)
I've got an old log file from version 0.9.6 that I'd like to import into the current version. I'd like to use 0.9.6 to open up my old format file and export it into ADIF so I can pull it into the new version.
I'm not having any luck getting an active download link for that older version. Can anybody point me to it or send me the file?
Thanks, John N8CD
