I had noticed that periodically, I'd get static crashes that would hit, then go down in volumn, and repeat around every 8 seconds. I finally tracked it down to hamlib/rigctld. The crashes happen when I start cqrlog, which starts rigctld, or if I start fldigi. The crashes happen if I use hamlib or rigctld to control the radio.
This happens using 2 different machines, one running xubuntu 12.04 and one using opensuse 12.2.
My coax passes over (touching) the xubuntu machine and directly behnd the opensuse machine.

The KX3 is a great QRP transceiver; here's how I got mine operating under Ubuntu 12.04 with CQRLOG.
Hi,
I just re-installed my machine with openSUSE 12.3 and after the packages found on software.opensuse.org did not work properly (floating point error), I downloaded the binary archive.
When I installed it and started CQRlog, it showed version 1.5.3 instead of 1.5.4. Now given that I had already installed 1.5.4 from the other repository I had the MASTER.SCP file which is not present in the binary archive.

I run Arch Linux on my laptop and tried to load CQRLog onto it on the weekend. Got a message back saying that it isn't built for x86-64 architecture, so wouldn't install. Is this true? What can I do to install it, or isn't it possible?
Hi, I have accidentally selected QSL Received (CTRL + R) on a few QSOs and I can't see any way to remove that. I tried File > Edit details and removing the date listed in QSL received date and QSL sent date, but that didn't help. Also, selecting QSL Received again doesn't flip it off.
I'm using cqrlog_1.5.4_amd64 (though it says 1.5.3 in Help > About) on Fedora 16
Can I ask, for information, what the "Callbook support" does? I can't get it to do anything and since I am not sure what it should be doing, I am having trouble debugging and telling what I am missing (I have accounts at both QRZ.com and HamQTH.com). In particular, am I right that it shoud not look up the callsign until I enter the QSO? Is there some way to check the call without entering it?
Thanks,
Jim
I just installed a 64 bit version of CQRLog. How do I import the 32 bit backup file (from the other partition) into the 64 bit program? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Never Mind, I got it figured out. Consider this one closed.
I am using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and CQRLOG. DEB package will not install because of following error: ERROR dependency is not satisfiable: LIBGDK-PIXBUF2.0.0 ( >= 2.22.0).
I have not been able to find this file to update. Can I use CQRLOG 1.5.4-1 with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS or will I have to upgrade to a newer OS?
Thanks,

I would like to interface my CW Contest Keyer with CQRLog. Either directly or by writing to the SQL DB directly. Do you have information on how I can do that?
I have received several user requests to interface with your program. Right now I use Xlog. My program is called eepkeyer.
It can be found here: http://www.hamsoftware.org/eepkeyer.html
Hi,
Today, I was trying to install CQRLOG on Kubuntu precise 12.04.01 AMD64 bit.
Somehow it alwas ends up with an error on my.cnf, which is from the scratch a 2 byte file.
I tried to chmod it to 666, but then, the error says something like ignoring globaly writable my.cnf.
I also tried "/usr/share/cqrlog/cqrlog-apparmor-fix" with no better result. Somehow, I'm lost to get CQRLOG running ....
Any hints ?

Here's the terminal screen output:
Hi,
in version 1.5.3, probably in 1.5.4 too, is problem described in the topic. When I do "sh/dx some_call" and this call was active 2 weeks ago, I have in the bandmap call, which is not actually on the band. When I do "sh/dx some_prefix", then "sh/dx some_other_prefix" and so on,... dx cluster returns some spots from history, and I have bandmap full of callsigns, which are not on the band yet, but were sometimes in the past.

With 1.5.4 CQRLog version, the ',' is converted in ';' during exporting ????????????????
WHY ???? In Glabel, I have one sentence with ';' !!!!

Thanks.

PS : please, excuse me for my english !!
Hello Petr,
when I create a filter (QSL send = SB, Sort by = DXCC+Call) and go to QSL => Export for label printing, the 'Mark QSLs sent after export' does not work. QSL send flag remains on SB after export. Can be changed manually of course, but just for your information.

I had CQRLog talking to this rig back about version 1.3 or 1.4 but since upgrading to the current 1.5.4 (or 1.5.3 for that matter) no communication. When running DXLab Commander in Windows XP on the same hardware it works perfectly. I have the port settings in CQRLog set exactly as they are in Commander. In Commander it connects to COM1 which would be /dev/ttyUSB0 in Ubuntu. I have verified that Ubuntu is seeing the interface on USB0. Still no comms.
Here is the output of dmesg:
When executing version 1.5.4 I get the following error:
TApplication.HandleException "BW" is an invalid integer Stack trace: $0000000000464EBA $0000000000994ED6 $00000000009754F5 $00000000008815DA $0000000000884EC0 $00000000004E3EF0 $0000000000587259 $000000000071C90C $000000000074B716 $000000000074BFF9 $000000000074C7A5 $0000000000588583 $0000000000586888 $000000000071C90C $000000000074B716 $000000000074BFF9 $000000000074C7A5

Hello,
New tune feature doesnt work witch cwdaemon on my Ubuntu. Is there anyone who can use it ?

Didn't we talk about this one?. I can't find that post anymore.
Ver. 1.5.4
My FT-847 still changes bands mantaining SSB mode from the previous used mode.
So if I point to a DX on the Bandmap windows on 7 MHz or example, and the VFO was on 21 MHz USB, it changes to 7 MHz USB.
I think it is related with the order that commands are sent to hamlib.
And I also know this worked fine a few releases ago.
Any help appreciated, as I'm missing some DXCC when I don't notice the wrong mode is selected.
Thank you!

Hi,
That new verion 1.5.4 (debian package, I usijng Lubuntu 32bit) is label printing order changed. So, when I use my old label template, only callsing is right place, but everything else is worng. Is that right? Or may I have make new template?
And that printing service is also very instabile that version, very often I get message "trasaction already actie". Only way is close program and start again.

I've inmstalled CQRlog onto Ubuntu Quantal a few days ago. It's very useful, and I send you lots of thanks. You say on "http://www.cqrlog.com/help/h22.html#bh4", The syntax can be derived from the label designer picture, you own label design can be derived from the example qsl.glabels included in the CQRLOG installation. But I've found "qsl.glabels" in my Ubuntu. Where can I find it ?You may know that thre is a very useful windows application "Turbo Hamlog" made by JG1MOU.
After installing version 1.5.3 I get the following error when I execute the program:
Unable to open file "/usr/share/cqrlog/ctyfiles/MASTER.SCP"
Hello,
Awhile back I had this working but it stopped all of a sudden years ago. Know I want to get it working agin. The settting from radio control don't seem to work. I've tried 0, 1, 2 stop bit and none worked. How about RTS and DTR?
Anyone have any clues?
Thanks,

Hi,
Is there any documentation to setup a proper build environment for CQRlog? I do think to remember that I saw something once where a specific version of fpc and Lazarus was mentioned. Currently it doesn't compille straight out of the tar file but I would like to make some changes (see rotor control in wish list forum).
Thanks,Mike K5TRI

I'm looking for a web based log that uploads to lotw.
More or less a port of your Linux client to a web based version.
Thanks,
Chuck
