I changed to the XFCE desktop - better usage for me as in other KDE/Unity ...
Start of CQRlog (1.2.x and now 1.5.2) is not possible - it show only a yellow window and nothing more.
Do someone more have this behaviour?
The whole ubuntu 12.04LTS was reinstalled on a new laptop with Nvidia graphic card (duo Core 2.5 Ghz) - how to find the "problem"?

I'm experencing a few issues using the QSL search feature from the QSO list window.
Hello everybody!
Hello Petr!
I use v.1.5.2 jn my Slackware 12 notebook. I can control my YAESU FT-897 using RigControl via rigctld (default port).
I made a SoftRock SDR recently, QUISK is the best choice for me by now. A QUISK software has its own port 4575 to control SDR. And it works with CQRLog's RigControl fine.
So, they both work, but separately as Rig #1 and Rig #2.
The question is how to to control two rigs (Rig $ SDR Soft at my instance) the same time. To avoid a concurrent situation, I think, one of them has to be "master", another one - "slave"
When I try to download LoTW QSLs from within CQRLog, I get the "...returned invalid adif file header. Your username/password could be wrong..." error, but I know that my username and password are correct.
Let me start by saying this is not very urgent to me but may be useful to others as well.
Now you can choose the spots shown filtered by continent. This also means a lot of spots are shown spotted by Ham's from "far away" countries. I.e. PT0S spotted by North Americans in Europe's late evening on, say 15 meters.
Now if the continent of the SPOTTER could be chosen, I for instance, would choose Europe. Meaning I would only see spots spotted by a Ham in Europe. This would greatly improve the chance that I can hear (and work) the DX.
One feature I miss from my old logging program is a QSO Audio record button. This gave the ability to create an mp3 of the qso (or beacon being recieved) by clicking on this button. Another useful feature would be to automatically record all QSO, and using the Callsign Band and date entgered in the log as part of the filename for the audio file.
I had a failed upgrade to an Ubuntu 11.10 system, on which I had cqrlog installed, and I had to bail out and install a fresh 12.10 in place of the old 11.10 system. Fortunately I was able to recover my data beforehand, so I have the contents of ~/.config/cqrolg from the previous installation.
Hi I have just added Cqrlog to my Ubuntu 12.10 machine
loaded a .adif file of about 860 qso's from 2001 to 2010
only part of what i need to work with
when i scroll down the "Show QSO" list it will only show back to
the 8th month of 2006 yet the .adif file that ive saved when closing
shows back to 2001..
when i took out a few of the dupe qso's more qso's show back toward the beginning of the .adif file
why is it only scrolling back to about 500 of the 860m qso's
tnx for your help

Hello,
is it possible to get an universal export of the QSO-Data, like a csv? But not the IOTA-csv, I mean a csv with all values like they appear in ADIF.
So it would be easier to work with the datas (for example including them on a web site or using them for any other issue)

I hope I did not miss this in my search, but I can not access country file cqrlog-cty120812.tar.gz. The web site shows two links to the 16 March 2012 file. When the second link is clicked the message appears that the August 2012 file could not be found.

Hi Folks,
Anyone using a similar setup? I would really like to get this all to work. I am using a non SDR radio. I would like to get all of this gear working on Linux Mint 13.

I have operated under a number of callsigns all from the same QTH. It would be good if there were an "operator" field where you could enter the callsign making the QSO. You would also need a way to define a default so that you don't have to enter this every time, just on the occassion when you use a different callsign. I know I can split my logs into different files but then award tracking ets is impossible across all the different logs. I could use profiles, but they are not visable and therefore not filterable in the QSO List.
Hello Petr,
is it possible to enter power values lower than 1 Watt, like 500mW or 0.5W ?

Hi all,in "Choose dxcluster" window -> edit a node settings -> if you press ESC or cancel button the program crash.
In the same window if you press OK I have this message and the program ends.
List index (-1) out of bounds.
Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption.
Press Cancel to kill the program.
This is the output from the terminal:

I used CQRLog during CQWW. I had to restart the software a number of times (maybe four or five times a day?) due to it becomming sluggish over time. This is only a guess, but I was replying to CQ calls, so there were LOTS of times where I would have entered a call only to see it was a duplicate, so it's possible the problem may lie in the database search?
One other thing I did notice was Hangouts in Google+ refuse to work when CQRLog is running (Google Talk plugin seems to run slowly then refuses to join a hangout). If I quit CQRLog the hangout works as expected.
Anyone know of a way to export a log so it's compatible with CQWW? I have 611 contacts. I tried exporting to ADI then importing into something else then export to Cabrillo. but all of the zone numbers are missing so my log is rejected :(
Hello community,
I really enjoy working contests and 160m. Sometimes Signales are sooo weak on TB that it takes me a while to decode a call sign letter by letter.
In most of the contest programs you have a master call sign database and it makes life easier to guess the right call sign. I also have more than 60k QSOs in my log, and maybe it's possible to include the call signs in the log in the masterdat? The next nice feature would be, next to partial check, a N+1 / N-1 check.

Hi!
I am looking for a Log-program in Linux and cqrlog would be exactly what I need, BUT...
It crashes right after startup:
---
Does anyone know if CQRLog supports consecutive serial numbers? If so, how do I use it?
Hi,
when I start CQRLOG at command line I get this running output:
Hi,
after a few tries at last I get my TS450S running with TRX control, but if I try to change the band by click the band buttons in TRX control window it takes about 5 to 10 seconds (and sometimes nothing happens) till the transceiver changes the band.
Changes on the transceiver are updated in CQRLOG as fast as expected.
Any hints?
Another problem (or not?), when I start CQRLOG at command line I get this running output:
Hello all - I have a TS-940 and cannot get the TRX to see my radio. I am using an FTDI USB to RS232 device which worked fine under Windows so I know the device is good.
I am not sure what I put into the Device block in the TRX setup under Preferences. I was going to use /dev/ttyUSBX (where X would be my USB port) but I am not sure which one it is.
Here is the output from my "lsusb" command: BTW I am using Ubuntu 12.04(LTS)
I have lost rig control on my Kenwood TS-480-SAT. It was working fine after the upgrade to version 1.5.2--until yesterday. I am using Ubuntu 12.04, 64-bit.
My rig control still works fine with Fldigi, so I know it is not a problem with my serial port.
I have been using the same Cqrlog TRX Control settings for many months with no problems. But suddenly rig control is gone. I tried some other settings, but nothing works.
Please help!

This is what I get when I start Cqrlog from terminal:
Since preferences seem to be stored on a per-log basis, a way to either copy preferences from one log to another or create a new log with preferences from an existing one (or both?) would be great. Settings can then be tweaked for a specific log as necessary, but common settings don't have to be configured from scratch.
An alternative (at least for me) would be M0TRN's suggestion to include an optional "my call" field in QTH profiles and the QSO list, as that's the only use case I can think of right now for multiple logs anyway.
when exporting to LOTW
adif export and signing completes with no errors
but when atempting to upload to lotw "Unable to open file"
the dated tq8 file is not being created or if it is
it is not where it is expected to be
I only noticed this problem after upgrading to 1.5.2
has anyone experienced this problem???
