cwdaemon not working for me

I'm testing CQRLOG for my linux logging functions. Currently I use XLOG. cwdaemon works fine in xlog but am not getting any response from CQRLOG. I've followed the instructions, unloaded the working cqdaemon and performed all the instructions for loading cqdaemon as defined in the CQRLOG instructions but no joy.

Currently running CQRLOG 0.9.4, Ubuntu 9.04, cwdaemon 0.9.4 with default port.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

Thanks,

Paula, NX1P

ADIF COMMENT FIELD - Are there any special character limitations?

Hello,

I have imported about 50K QSOs from my Windows logging program (Logger32) to CQRLOG v0.9.4. I have noticed that in the ADIF comment field that the contents get corrupted sometimes after importing to CQRLOG. After looking more closely into where this happens I find that there are non-alphabetic characters in the comment field like +, /, or @.

Rig control issue with 64 bit Ubuntu Lucid install

I've just upgraded my computer and OS from Ubuntu 9.10 32 bit (where CQRLOG installed and ran fine) to Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit. After reading the forum here, I managed to get libhamlib2 32 bit version installed alongside the 64 bit version, and CQRLOG 0.9.4 now runs. But I still have a problem with it controlling my rig, an Elecraft K2. This worked great on the old machine, and I'd like to have the same capability.

Program Interface

Hi,

here are some thoughts on the program interface.

In the menu there are a number of menu items, which all have only one entry "Show ... Window". Perhaps one could summarize this in the menu "View" or in a seperate tab under "Preferences".

The menu item "Preferences" could be introduced into the menu bar.

"Preferences - New QSO" contains the lines "Enable auto search on QRZ.COM" and "Ignore QRZ.COM QSL Info. Other settings to QRZ.COM can be found at "Preferences - connection Program "Internet.
Perhaps it would be good to consider all the settings to QRZ.COM together.

Lovely piece of software

Hi All,
I have finally made the full move in the shack over to Linux, it was only the logging in Ham Radio Deluxe that kept me with Windows.

I have managed to pull all of my data over to CQRLOG, what a great piece of software, I am now an avid user and I wish the developers all the best for this fantastic program.

Ubuntu 10.04 it is then from now on I only use CQRLOG.
