QSO start and end times

Hi all:

I'm new to CQRLOG and am having a challenge. The start and end times for a new QSO keep advancing with the system clock. How do I get the start time to lock in at the start of the QSO so that the log will show the duration of the contact. Sorry if this is obvious but I can't seem to figure it out. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian (K7TKT)

QTH Profile

OK

So I know that you can't use a laptop with CQRLOG running in the car while driving.

But I wonder if there could be an option to have MOBILE in the grid locator field of the QTH profile instead of an actual locator? I'll explain.

I drive to and from work each day and quite often have several contacts during the afternoon commute, which generally takes an hour or so. I usually write basic contact information into a note pad when I stop at traffic lights or I pull over to quickly jot down the details of the person I am speaking to.

Strange behaviour with updated DXCC-list...

Hi!

I'm in the process of transferring my paper logs to the computer-log.
Once in a while I download new DXCC-files for CQRLOG. Suddenly the number
of worked DXCC:s changed (with the latest update). I do rebuild the statistics
and reload data.

CQRLOG did not recognize the following call-signs among /M and /MM -calls, which had to be manually corrected:

-5V7C was coded as "!", while 5V7A was OK!
-UA3KM was coded as "!", strange....
-HP1/DJ7AA was coded as "!", should without doubt be Panama.

Unable to launch

Running Archlinux 64 bit, everything up to date. Hamlib 1.2.11 is installed in the default /usr/local/lib.

Trying to run the install:

    Downloads]$ ./cqrlog_install.sh
    CQRLOG self extracting installer

    ./files.tar
    ./install
./cqrlog_install.sh: line 12: ./install: No such file or directory

When trying to run the bin download, I recieve the following error:

    cqrlog_0.9.4_bin]$ ./cqrlog
bash: ./cqrlog: No such file or directory

Any help is appreciated.

DXCC change of USA from W(USA) to W is causing me problems

Hello ---

I am having problems filtering logs for USA. I noticed they worked in old saved filters, but not new filters. Also the WAS report is not functioning correct, logs I just entered would not show up.

I traced the problem to the DXCC designation for USA. It used to be W (USA), now it is W. Not sure when it was changed but problem stated past week.

That is why old saved filters and older logs filter fine and show up on WAS (using W (USA)), and newer logs using W don't.

I noticed if I opened a log it would update itself to W from W (USA), but then it drops off the WAS list.

My system is a 3 day old install of Ubuntu 10.04LTS

cwdaemon not working for me

I'm testing CQRLOG for my linux logging functions. Currently I use XLOG. cwdaemon works fine in xlog but am not getting any response from CQRLOG. I've followed the instructions, unloaded the working cqdaemon and performed all the instructions for loading cqdaemon as defined in the CQRLOG instructions but no joy.

Currently running CQRLOG 0.9.4, Ubuntu 9.04, cwdaemon 0.9.4 with default port.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

Thanks,

Paula, NX1P

ADIF COMMENT FIELD - Are there any special character limitations?

Hello,

I have imported about 50K QSOs from my Windows logging program (Logger32) to CQRLOG v0.9.4. I have noticed that in the ADIF comment field that the contents get corrupted sometimes after importing to CQRLOG. After looking more closely into where this happens I find that there are non-alphabetic characters in the comment field like +, /, or @.
