Hi,
If TRX Control is enabled, there is no way to edit the frequency in the field, because it gets immediately filled again with the value from rig.

Hello Petr,
CQRlog works quite nice. I encountered another issue while using it:
If qrz.com lookups are enabled but the person is not registered on qrz.com, then the fields name, QTH and QRZ.com window are automatically filled with some HTML code instead of staying empty.

I've installed (not as root) cqrlog_0.6.0_install.tar.gz and script have created directory and desktop icon. Launching icon I receive this error:
Can't load library: /home/leo/ccqrlog/libfbembed.so.1.5.4
I've installed Ubuntu hamlib-1.2.7 and libstdc++6-4.3.2.
What's wrong?

Could CQRLOG include a search through QRZ's previous callsign field when the program is looking for prior contacts of the op we are working?
Also, could an audio clip be added to play when a previous qso 'hit' has been found? Just a ping, perhaps.

After testing all of the linux logging programs I finally found CQRLOG and it is by far the best. So thank you!
(running Fedora 10 w/ binary install of cqrlog)
I started entering the QSO's from my paper log into CQRLOG last night and wanted to try the LoTW functions. I was able to export and sign successfully but when I click on the Upload button nothing seems to happen. In the status box I get:

The cqrlog is crashing all the time now when I tried too configure the trx controll ?
I connected my ts 940 to the computer and then when I had done the configuration it had contact with the radio some secunds and the it crashes the hall time, even when the radio isnt conected.
What to do ?
how do I change too the big earth picture in the log program ?
I'm running current cqrlog on Ubuntu 8.10. I have a Yaesu FT-950 and I've verified that hamlib is working very will with it (rigctl works fine and so do fldigi, etc).
Once I enable rig control in the software, the next time I open it the GUI opens but it just locks up. Here's the output of cqrlog -v:
[WARNING] Out of OEM specific VK codes, changing to unassigned
[WARNING] Out of OEM specific VK codes, assigning $FF
Starting CQRLOG ...
Config: /home/ryan/cqrlog/log_data/cqrlog.cfg
Thanks!

Hi Peter
in a new installation of Ubuntu 8.10 I have also install CQRLOG v 0.6.0.
CQRlog connects to cluster, to my TRX but when I am typing (in any field)
every character appears twice!!
Also can't connect to LOTW for synchronization.
Than you
Manos SV1EQU
I tried the installer but it wouldn't run:
scott@scott-desktop:~/Downloads$ ls
ati-driver-installer-8-12-x86.x86_64.run cqrlog_install.sh
cqrlog_0.6.0_install.tar.gz
scott@scott-desktop:~/Downloads$ cqrlog_install.sh
bash: cqrlog_install.sh: command not found
Tried downloading program files and running:
scott@scott-desktop:~/cqrlog_d$ ls
AUTHORS ctyfiles INSTALL LoTW xplanet
bin dxcc_data intl members zipcodes
I am wondering if a feature could be added that would, maybe, change the font color of Frequency field if the rig tuned out of the operators allowed TX subband?
Hello. Thanks again for a fine program. I am wondering what the meaning might be for some QSO's listed with red fonts in the upper window of the New QSO window? I have worked some of the red ones previously and some I have not worked more than once. I have not seen this in the QSO window.
Just curious. Thank You...

Hello everyone:
I just to know about CQRLOG.
It looks very nice piece.
I have someone "foolish ideas" for enhancement it.
Really I don´t download it yet, since I have a Macintosh computer, but I would like know what I should
to do for install (virtually?) Linux Ubuntu or some like that, for run CQRLOG and anothers hams Linux applications.
I would suggestion following features: (Please ignore anything if it come with CQRLOG)
A) NEW FIELDS
a) E-mail field;
b) Unamed fields (maybe 2 or 3). User will name them setting they self any name.
CQRlog will not connect to it. The Orion is fixed at 57600 baud 8-bit, 1 stop, no-parity CTS/RTS hand shake enabled. Other programs like GRIG, using hamlib works fine with the Orion.
I suspect that something is broken in the implementation of handshake.
I'm using a USB to RS-232C adapter at /dev/ttyUSB0 on Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex.

Would be nice to have to option to group the QSOs by land and sort the land group by alphabetical order before start the QSL label export.
The goal should be a label line up just in the order requested by some QSL bureaus to avoid any further sorting by hand.
(I have no idea, if this kind of order is used by all bureaus .. but sorting by land should always be welcome :-) )

Hello all.
I've run cqrlog_install.sh after unpacking the archive in my home folder. When I try to run the program for the first time from the desktop icon I get "Can't load library:/home/xxxxx/cqrlog/libfbembed.so.1.5.4".
I get a choice to ignore and risk data corruption or cancel and kill CQRLOG. The library in question is in the right spot.
Thanks for any input.

A feature I would like to see is that if you click on an entry in a statistic box, ie either WAZ or DXCC etc. that entry goes to the QSO in your log. You can then see which QSO the statistic refers to.
Hi again,
I am opening a new topic for this issue as i don't think it has to do with the crash before. I tried to set up TRX Control in CQRLOG for my Yaesu FT-847, but all i get in the console is:
Unknown rig num: 101
trx:FALSE
Now it does not seem to matter which number i enter, i always get this error message.
Hello CQRLOG users,
I understand that CQRLOG does not support eQSL until eQSL will be accepted by most of the award managers. While exporting is easy, I have to find a way to import my received eQSL into CQRLog to keep track of the feedback.
I wonder if I missed any option, but up to now I found only the option to export QSOs from eQSL as ADIF and import it into CQRLog.. but this results in new QSOs in CQRLog instead of getting only the QSL state updated ( of course ..)
Doe anyone has a idea, how to handle eQSL cards other than checking each QSO by hand?
Hello,
would be great to see new statistic method in cqrlog:
Worked/Confirmed big squares (locators like JO81) per band.
This will be very useful for people working above 30 Mc.
In order to be useful to me, I need to be able to use (register QSOs) and import QSOs logging the following modes:
JT6M
JT65
JT65A
JT65B
JT65C
FSK441
WSPR
Other than that the program looks immensely useful (Current VQlog user looking for a native Linux solution)

I've been using CQRLOG for several months and found that often after transmitting for a short time, the program often locks up. The cursor, normally blinking in the "Call" field of New QSO, will disappear and that will be the end of my session. I have to force the program closed.
Has anyone else seen this? I tried putting a ferrite on the USB-RS-232 adapter cable, but it doesn't help.
I'm using 0.6.0.
Tnx & 73,

Hello,
CQRLOG looks really promising and i wanted to give it a try but it does not run on 64bit Linux (Ubuntu 8.10 in this case).
Using the binary, the start works, but after pressing "OK" in the preferences window, the program crashes.
Here is the log:
