Brand new to Linux - trying out Linux Mint 17.1 (64 bit) and CQRLOG for first time. Using several FTDI USB to serial converters, 1 to communicate with TS850 which I have working fine, the other to send CW using DTR and RTS (for PTT). Have searched through forum and the web in general and found a few references but all of them way over my head in dealing with Linux. If this method of sending CW is indeed possible with CQRLOG, I would appreciate how to accomplish for the neophyte.
Thanks, Ron

I am new to CQRLog and am very impressed. I have it running on Mint 17.1. After a bit of playing I have most things working now. I understand how Reverse Beacon spot should show on Grayline but so far nothing. I use Reverse Beacon a lot so this would be great.
If I enter a callsign into the log I see a line connecting it to me on Grayline. But no reverse beacon spots.
Any suggestions or ideas please??
Thanks Robin
Hi Petr,
Thanks for new release which is very nice. I have found a small bug where if you load another log and then reload your first log, after connecting to the dxcluster and doing say sh/dx 50 the "Band map" does not show the spots or update. The fix is to Quit program and restart CQRLog.

Hello,
Have error '"" is not a valid boolean press OK...'. This appears after the log pannel opens and just after the Detail window appears. Only occurs on my Mint 17.1 system. Happens each time CQRLoads. If I press OK the program loads and so far appears to work. Just upgraded and will continue to exercise the program. Data file appears to be intact.
My other PC is running Ubuntu 14.04 and does not exibit this error,

I just updated to the latest release of CQRLOG and when I try to open my database I get this message:

Help please.
Thank you!

Can anyone help me fix this error? When i try to add the line i can't even open the file as it is not found.

It looks like apparmor is running in your system. CQRLOG needs to add this :
@{HOME}/.config/cqrlog/database/** rwk,
into /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld
You can do that by running /usr/share/cqrlog/cqrtest-apparmor-fix or you can add the line and restart apparmor manually.
Click OK to continue (program may not work correctly) or Cancel and modify the file first.
/nocode
Looks like HamQTH has changed something. I got this error when trying to upload:
HamQTH: Uploading KS9AHamQTH: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"><html><head><title>301 Moved Permanently</title></head><body><h1>Moved Permanently</h1><p>The document has moved <a href="http://www.hamqth.com/qso_realtime.php">here</a>.</p><hr><address>Apache/2.4.12 (Ubuntu) Server at hamqth.com Port 80</address></body></html>
Hi All,
I am using CQRlog with the K3NG Arduino keyer. At one time, there was a problem using the WinKeyer setting on the CW interface but that has been fixed, so CQRlog works with the Ardhino keyere now usiing the winkeyer setting.
One Problem is that the llead in and Tail PTT timing is being reset by CQRlog. I have an old Henry 2K amplifier and I need about 15ms of lead timing on PTT in order not to miss the first 'dit'.
I'm not sure why the timing is being reset ? There is no way to set it in the Preferences settings that I can find.
I am interested in hearing what the intention is with setting up a station in a new location. Should I generate a new QTH profile or set up a new log number? What is the intention here?

Petr,
Installed CQRLog under 64 bit Mint 17. Got the "Access Problem" solved but now I have two more problems.
1. When entering new QSO, I get error "tag <session id> not found" on callbook lookup to HamQTH. No problem with Ubuntu 12.04.
Just built a new PC with Minit 17.1. As my prevous version of CQRLog used MySQL I installed MySql 5.6. Then I installed CQRLog V. 1.8.3. That Installed MariaDB. I was able to run and import my log into CQRLog OK. As I use MySQL databases in other projects I imported my MySQL database to MySQL using MySQL Workbench. Now when I start CQRLog I get the error "Access violation, Press OK and risk data corruption or press Cancel to kill program". Pressing either option kills the program. Not too worried about the log as I still have a backup.
Hello, I want to reset the area eqsl_qslrdate of my log via the SQL command from SQL console.
update cqrlog_main set eqsl_qslrdate = ''
After this operation I have value '1899-12-30' in the column. Thank you to tell me how to delete. Best Regards
I read the the thread that I can move from my old PC by moving the ~/.config/cqrog directory from the old PC to the new PC. When I pasted the files into ~/.config/cqrlog directory I get the the errors: "MYSQL could not be started, please check if the MYSQL server is installed properly" and "Error during connection to database: Server connect failed
If I delete the database directory, it will re create it and I can open things (not my logs). Do I need to go back to my old system and do all of the exports? I am not having much luck getting ths to work.

I'm now using Ubuntu Trusty, it is upgraded from Saucy.
At Saucy,I installed cqrlog and copied from .config/cqrlog through usb memory at Raring (another HDD).
At Raring I could easily upload to LOTW server.
Now at Trusty I can sign in adi file, but on upload it appears error.
looking for tq8 file,in nautilus there is not tq8 file
How do I upload to LOTW using tq8 file?
Can we have the option to turn off capitalisation of the 1st word in the QTH field, or have the default of no case override in this field?
Quite often the QTH may be "near XYZ" or "east of XYZ" where XYZ is an actual town name and now having "Near XYZ" or "East of XYZ" is less preferable in my eyes, although, I guess its a minor issue, I am just somewhat annoyed by it, since the default used to be not to have the case override in the past versions.
Hello,
I am new to LINUX.
I installed UBUNTU 14.04 on my laptop .

Path to fldigi is / usr / bin / fldigi
Frequency is selected from fldigi
Fashion from fldigi is checked

I have installed Ubuntu LTS and CQRlog works great. My problem is I cannot SSH into the
computer from my laptop. Used to work with Debian, but cannot figure out where and what
to set in Ubuntu. Keep getting error that Conection is Refused.
I know that someone here can direct me to the right place.

I am getting a new error as of a day or so ago when I try to launch CQRLog:
"it looks like apparmor is running in your system. CQRLOG needs to add this: @(Home)/.config/cqrlog/database/** rwk, into /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld
You can do this by running /usr/share/cqrlog/cqrtest-apparmor-fix or you can add the line and restart apparmor manually
Click ok to continue (program may not work correctly) or cancel and modify the file first"
Version 1.8.3 running on Ubuntu Trusty.
Starting program with cqrlog -debug=1
When using QRZ as callbook support:
With most callsign only "Name" is showing up.
If the station is previous logged, "Name" and QTH (from previous record) is showing up and then QTH disappear after less than a second.
In both cases the only Tags from command line is:
Tag: <fname> Value: Stein Henrik
Tag: <fname> Value: Stein Henrik
Tag: <name> Value: Jensaas
There is two fname-tags !

Hi Petr,
Is it possible to make all search functions case independant?
If I search for name = menno -> 0 results.
When I search for name = Menno -> 8 results.
However, it's not always known when a capital is used or not, so please make all searches case independant.
Thanks.

Just a simple question, If I do a Database update, does CQRlog also quary the DXCC and IOTA database?? Thanks Tom K8WDX
Hi, When I imported my log into CQRlog, somehow the power field shows 5W for all QSOs, even though some are at different levels. I think this was because I filled out my that value in my new QSO screen before hand. Anyway, I reimported the log again but this time to a new log (log no 002) and left out the field so I am good there. But how can I delete log 001?
