I have upgraded to Ubuntu 18.10, and have done a fresh install of CQRLOG 2.3.0. when I try to run it, I get an error : Error during connection to database: TMYSQL57Connection: Server connection failed.
Whats going on?
I'm working with 2.3.0(103) on Kubuntu 18.10 and mainly wsjt-x.
Starting a qso with a known om there appears a list of the previous qsos. Sometimes this list stays visible after remote log, sometimes not.
It wold be very nice to keep this list visible always at least until starting a new qso!

my sql does not start any more.
Hier is the mysql.err file:
Hi,
I have been almost inactive due to severe qrm but nevertheless I'd like to have CQRlog running for the occasional QSO.
Recently, I upgraded my Mint 17.3 to 18.3 and I can't seem to get CQRlog running.
Something in the line of the title comes up and, basically, that's it.
Here are the last 20 lines of mysql.err:
Hi to all,
I recently made a system upgrade (inside ubuntu 16.04) and now my 3 CQRLOG-logs have disapeard totaly. I made logs saves, but the disapear as well. The .config/database directory only contains cqrlog001 and cqrlog_common. I have save files on an auxiliary disk but don't know what to restore.
Any help ?

PS : Problem solved. Linux/ubuntu update had cleared directory and put all files in the trash...
I do some grid square roving while operating the satellites. In order for these "roves" to be legal I have to update my location in TQSL. I know how to enter this information in CQRLOG before I upload to LOTW and it works very well. What I would like to do is keep the information regarding my location somewhere on the page where I upload to LOTW Is there a way to do this, maybe on the line I'm allowed to modify for my command line argument?

I have been on FT-8 for some time now but have never used the CQ Monitor when in remote mode. Is there a manual or tutorial somewhere for it? The colors make sense but what do all the boxes like Flw, nHst Map sTx do? What about the buttons on the bottom My All Text Alert Loc?
Any help greatly appreciated!

Hello everyone,
I have been able to figure out most everything in CQRLOG with but a few exceptions. What I am wondering though is this: When I enter a call into the call-sign field it does not auto populate the QTH, Grid, State or County fields. Is this normal or am I missing something?
Great program BTW. Thanks in advance.
I installed WSJT-X 2.0.0 today and am running CQlog 2.3.0.
I have to start WSJT-X separately from entering remote mode in CQRlog as I use a custom init file. I did this long ago with WSJT-X and have done so for about a year.
After installing CQRlog on a fresh Ubuntu 18.04 from PPA I got a very weird layout (see picture). Probably a simple preference thingy. Can some one point me in the right direction?

After long time there is a new beta version of CQRLOG. You can download it from here:
https://cqrlog.com/files/beta/cqrlog_20181203_amd64.tar.gz
Small how to is described here: http://www.cqrlog.com/node/1526
Changelog:
My IC-706 starts transmitting automatically when the CQRLOG Db is opened. If I shut down CQRLOG the transmitter continues transmitting. If I remove the rig control USB cable from the computer and reinstall, the radio stops transmitting.
I running the latest Ubunto build: 18.0xx.
The TRX Control settings are:
Rig Model (309 Icom IC-706),
Device (/dev/ttyUSB0) and
"Run rigctld when program starts" selected.
Serial speed is set to 19200. Path to rigctld binary: is set to the default /usr/bin/rigctld

HI!
---------
ONCE MORE: As soon as possible after December 10, and certainly by
January 1, 2019, everyone should be using WSJT-X 2.0 or a compatible
v2.0 version of derivative programs such as JTDX or MSHV. As of today,
PSKreporter statistics show roughly 3000 users of WSJT-X versions older
than v1.9.1, 9500 users of v1.9.1, and 3000 users of v2.0-rc#. Please,
everyone, help us to spread the word that upgrading to v2.0 after
December 10 is very important. There will be no looking back!
Beating my head on the wall trying to figure out how to filter for a field that does NOT contain whatever. Example: create a filter for all records with Location <> EN73. This can easily be done from the SQL console but as others have mentioned there is no option to export ADIF from the SQL console and I need ADIF
. Nor is there a way (that I can find) to create a filter from an SQL statement. It seems very odd to me that one cannot filter based on a negation?
Hi all, recent user of CQRLOG on mint 19. I have FLDIGI and WSJT-X talking to FLRIG and I can get CQROLG to talk to FLDIGI but I would rather get it to talk to FLRIG. Just wondering if anyone is using this combo and could share their CQRLOG setup for FLRIG.
Thanks
