CQRLOG is an advanced ham radio logger based on MySQL database. Provides radio control based on hamlib libraries (currently support of 140+ radio types and models), DX cluster connection, online callbook, a grayliner, internal QSL manager database support and a most accurate country resolution algorithm based on country tables created by OK1RR. CQRLOG is intended for daily general logging of HF, CW & SSB contacts and strongly focused to easy operation and maintenance. More details in About section. You can write your own review of the CQRLOG for Linux at eHam.net.
New users: Use your ham radio call sign as user name while creating your new account! It is our only proof of your validity. Attempts without a valid ham radio call sign will be deleted immediately without any warning!
Hamlib, at least the version 4.5 has a not well documented option – with radios that have its own IP address the IP address and port number can be used instead of device name. An USB port is then not needed, it can also solve the known „stolen USB port“ problem.
After a few weeks, we have a new release! This version contains mostly bug fixes but there are also some new features. The most important fix is the workaround for ADIF import bug in the recent Free Pascal compiler. Debian packages for Ubuntu 18.04, 20.04, 20.10, and 21.04 are building on Launchapd. For Ubuntu 18.04 there is also i386 version, never Ubuntu version have only amd64 and arm64 packages. The complete changelog in available in Download section
After a really long time, we have a new version. Packages for Bionic, Focal, and Groovy are ready to go. For the first time, there is also an official arm64 release. Look at Launchpad CQRLOG repository.
Most changes are done by Saku, OH1KH, and others. Thanks a lot! I added only a few small fixes. Next version I'd like to focus on code cleanup and other small improvements. CQRLOG has many features and it's getting too complicated. I'd like to have an application that will be easy to use.
Incorrectly resolved DXCC are often subject of a discussion. Problems are mostly with a call from US posessions (AH0U, KH2D, KP4Q etc. They ae very easy to solve - just press F11 and the entry correctly changes to USA and the state. Also you will see the County field filled with county information. This works with Callbook support defined, pointing to HamQTH.com which is connected to the FCC database and should be always actual.
I highly recommend to check any call from US posessions with F11!
One of unique CQRlog features is the Membership tracking. Our list of trackable Membership has now 120 clubs, each one must be maintained to keep it useful. It is a lot of work which is almost invisible unless the user tracks a particular club. We are unable to keep up-to-date all 120 Membership lists so any help is highly appreciated. Our sincere thanks go to Dan, WA4GSD, Karlheinz, DK8KK and last but not least Din, PA0DIN who publishes twice a year a VHSC Newsletter with VHSC/SHSC/EHSC news.
