I may be doing this incorrectly or do not understand how it should work, but I am trying to filter my log and then sort the resulting QSO's by callsign (looking for dupes according to the filter). What happens is interesting. Lets say I have 2000 qso's in my log. When I apply the filter, I have 100 qso's showing. When I sort by callsign, the program reports 1100 qso's... Not 100 and not 2000. Not the difference.

Any easy way to handle multiple logs?
I have 2 calls (OZ1PIF & 5Q2M) and i'm the QSL Mgr for OX3LX!
I have not found any easy way of dealing with this, ant suggestions?
Or is it an item for the wish-list?

PS: Bummed out by the HAMLIB problems/Serial Port Problems in Ubuntu 9.10 (It's NOT an CQRlog issue)
I have compiled hamlib rpms on Mandriva 2010.My ftp server, n3meq.dynip.com, should these
be useful to anyone you may logon to the server using the login "ftp" without the quotes.
The hamlib rpms live in pub/hamlib/meq_rpms/2010-build.

Using CQRLOG 0.8.5 on Ubuntu 9.10.
If I edit an existing QSO and leave the Frequency field blank, when I hit the "Save QSO" button I get a dialog that says:
"" is an invalid float.
Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption.
Press Cancel to kill the program.
I'd like an option to let me go back and fix the problem. Accepting bad data or killing the whole program seems rather harsh.

Using CQRLOG 0.8.5 with Ubuntu 9.10.
When I import an ADIF file which has fields that contain newline characters, CQRLOG does not properly import anything after the newline.
Original ADIF field:

Using CQRLOG 0.8.5 with Ubuntu 9.10.
In the QSO List view, if I move some columns to a different position, when I quit the program and relaunch, the columns are sometimes back to their old positions. Sometimes it seems to correctly save the new positions, and sometimes it doesn't. I've not been able to figure out a pattern to make it happen consistently.

Just started using CQRLOG with Ubuntu 9.10.
Some column widths in the QSO List view do not seem to be saved when I close and re-open the view.
For example: the RST_R column shows up very wide on my screen. If I resize it to an appropriate size, close the QSO List window, and re-open it, the RST_R column is back to being very wide again. Same with the QTH and PWR columns.
However, if I do the same thing for the FREQ column, it comes back with the new size as expected.

Please tell me how you did too get the right settings.
I cant get the radio too respons att all.
I am using the Fedora 10 at the moment but it didnt work on ubuntu 9.04 eather.

After going through all the 'Preferences' screens, I tried the LOTW download. I did put the correct username & password in for LOTW.
About a half second after I select 'Download date from ARRL website' it gives me:
NOT logged
Error: 0
Error: ssl_none
I can log on to LOTW and I did download my LOTW report so I can import it into cqrlog, so that part works. But I'd like to be able to do it automagically!

I would like to see an option to allow backup to something other than the local machine. The Auto-backup feature will allow you to save locally but not to a drive on a remote machine. I would like to be able to run a script that would do something like this:
Check for a remote machine on my local network and save to a drive
Check for a remote machine through the Internet and save to a drive
And, of course, still allow me to save to my local machine.

Ok... this is not exactly CQRLOG content... but it related to how I make Q's that go into CQRLOG.
There are certain times when I really prefer FSK contacts on RTTY compared to AFSK using the sound card. I really like my 350hz CW/RTTY filter. If the band conditions are challenging it is hard to beat the mechanical filter. (FLDigi with AFSK is great... don't get me wrong... but there are moments that FSK is a good tool as well.)

I am using the Export to HTML feature. It is fun for people to be able to look the logs real time on the web.
1. It would be nice to be able to either schedule an export or expose a command line interface so that we can run the export via a CRONtab. (Today I manually esport the log at the end of every session. Then I have a CRON job move it to my web server at my hosting provider nightly.)
I am trying to import my log from Logger32 on on XP. I ran into a few issues and need some guidance.
Issue #1: It appears the 29 of my q's will not import with the following error:

I went to go view a QSO that I had just logged as a test. I got the "Cannot focus a disabled or invisible window" running 0.8.5 on Ubuntu 9.04. I have screen capture if you are interested.

I just upgraded my shack PC to Ubuntu 9.10 from 9.04- after doing this, I cannot start CQRLog. I get an error message telling me-
"Error- Can't load library: /home/eric/cqrlog/lib/libfembed.so.2.1.1."
Choices are to select OK and 'risk data corruption" or Cancel to exit.
Does this library use something that is no longer supported in Ubuntu?

Not yet can find, but is possible " CQRLOG" the " RST" to raise. For example of 599, 001 to 599, 002 and therefore automatic after every QSO? So far cannot find, I use " CQRLOG" now a month.
I have image scans of all my qsl cards. Can CQRLog support linking to the images while running the log application? If so , how? 73, Greg
Does CQRlog (and FLDigi) support USB based CI-V rig control? For example something like HamLinkUSB (Timewave) or RIGtalk (West Mountain Radio).
I am starting consider moving most of the radio control over to native USB given that most PCs/laptops come with a limited number of serial ports and that most of the Linux distros only natively support 4 ports. It seems like the days of DB9 base serial are numbered and maybe it is time to make the move.
I have some problems making the csv file for glabels. The result when i export for label printing is always an empty csv file, also i tried to open the file with text editor and theres nothing. I followed the instructions on the front page. I also tried to run CQRlog from console but there's no errors.
Im using version 0.8.5 of cqrlog and kubuntu 9.04
Another question, when i get it working are those qsl:s allready sorted so i dont need to do it after printing or is there something i should do before i make the csv file?
How can I show Statistics for Countries worked but not confirmed?

Hi All,
I have been looking through my log and wanted to filter out only the log entries that have not been confirmed. In my case my log has been imported from xlog which in turn had been imported from DXlabs. This has resulted in log enties with blanks in the QSL received column. There does not appear to be a way of filtering to show "not Q". There is a "!" in the QSL drop down box in the filter section but I am not sure what this refers to as I have not used this in the log.

Very new to Linux (2 days), and very very new to CQRLog.
If someone else has already asked this question then I apologise, but for the life of me I cannot see a way to make the columns in the NEW QSO Window and the QSL LIST window stay put.
If I drag them into place and resize them as I want them, then all is fine until I shut CQRLOg down. However when I then re-launch the program most off the columns have moved and returned to their original widths.
Please, how do I lock the columns ??
I am running into an issue with fldigi and PTT performance. When I put fldigi into transmit there is a delay of a couple of seconds before it actually flips the serial bits.
I am using a Rigblaster Plus on com1/S0. This seems to be specific to Ubuntu/fldigi on this PC because it works as expected with XP/fldigi (and other pieces of software) on this same PC.
Any hints as to what to look at? There is not much to set for /dev/ttyS0 based PTT within fldigi.

I am evaluating my ability to move my shack from XP to Linux. My goal is to move 100% over to Linux. With that being said I ran into a new challange. The other night I removed my hard drive running XP (it is on the shelf but I can roll back if needed) and replaced it with a fresh HD and loaded Ubuntu on it to test my known working hardware configuration with Linux and software.
My current shack PC:
2 embedded serial ports on the motherboard
4 port PCI serial card
1 USB connection for my K1EL keyer
